What Can Cause Cracks in the Spokes of a Trailer Wheel

Question:
My trailer is a 2010 toy hauler. These are the wheels that were on the trailer when I purchased it. The original wheels are cracking spokes through the wheel. This is the 3rd wheel that i have now had to replace. Is this common for an older wheel to crack or so you think there might be a problem with my trailer that keeps cracking the spokes on the wheel?

It is possible that your trailer got a bad batch of wheels. It happens. But it could also be the result of overloading the trailer or using tires with a higher psi rating than what the wheels are rated for. The trailer axles themselves could be overloaded if the trailer is towed nose high at the front.
Another possibility is physical damage such as hitting curbs are severe pot holes on a regular basis.
No matter the cause we can't have your trailer rolling on cracked wheels! We have had statistically zero complaints on the HWT wheels such as # AM22659HWT so if it isn't an overload situation, too much air pressure, or physical trauma then the only other thing I can think of that is feasible would be a bad batch of wheels.
