Functions of the Wire Colors on the Wesbar Trailer Light part # 271574
Updated 05/30/2017 | Published 05/27/2017 >
Question:
The installation instructions that came with the set as well as all online information reference the yellow, green, brown and white wires but the light itself only comes with red, back and white. Obviously the white is ground it came with a ring terminal installed but Im installing the left 7-way signal on my boat trailer Yellow, brown and white wires and no matter if I hook the red or black signal wires to the yellow or brown harness wires, only the low intensity tail lights illuminate. There is no indication from Wesbar what back and red should correlate to on a normal trailer. Or with their own harness provided The lights Im replacing are identical incandescent Wesbar submersible so I cant understand what the problem is.

On the trailer light part # 271574 the white wire is the ground, the red is the stop/turn circuit, and the black is the running light circuit.
On the left side of the trailer the red wire of the light would attach to the yellow wire, on the right side to the green wire. The black wire is the same on either side and it would run to the brown wire and white to white.
