If your 2010 Ford F-150 came from the factory with a 7-way trailer socket at the rear bumper then it will have a brake controller connection port behind the dash to allow quick hookup of a controller like the Prodigy P2 # 90885 using part # 22292. If instead the truck came from the factory with only a 4-pole harness you will then need a hardwire installation kit # 37185. This is a 7-way socket. The two linked articles and video will show you the installation process.
