Question:
Yakima Ridgeback VS Literider There is about a 50+ dollar difference in price on the 2 of these. How does the Rdigeback stand up? I borrowed a Literider and took it on a 2000 mile trip and all worked fine but if they are both the same is it worth the extra money?

The biggest difference between the Yakima LiteRider and RidgeBack # Y02457 is the materials of which they are made. The LiteRider has been discontinued but was aluminum and slightly lighter than the RidgeBack which is steel. It's a great rack and would have worked just as well as the LiteRider on that long road trip you took.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
