Installation Kit for Demco HiJacker SL Flat Deck Hitch in a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed
Question:
2008 2500hd Silverado 61/2 foot bed. Will the flat 5th wheel hitch work with.my truck. How do the frame tabs get thru the bottom of the bed?

In order to use the Demco 5th wheel trailer hitch # DM6076SL-FLAT you will need the proper installation kit for your 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed. The correct kit for the hitch and your truck is # DM8553004-12.
I also recommend installing a 7-Way trailer connector in the bed of the truck to make hooking up easier without the need for any extensions. You can use # 41157. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
