Hi, I have 2010 gmc Sierra 1500 series with leer canopy. Its a short bed 5.5. I am interested in buying ladder rack. I need help in figuring out which ones fit over my leer canopy. I want to use it to carry bikes and also kayaks. Thanks

I have a solution for you. However, we do not carry traditional ladder racks designed to fit over camper shells. To carry bikes and kayaks over your camper shell, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System # Y02-490B. This rack will mount to the roof of your camper shell. It is important to remember that the weight capacity of the rack will be dependent on the weight capacity of your camper shell.

When choosing bike racks and kayak carriers, it is important to keep in mind the size and shape of your crossbars. The diameter of the Rhino-Rack aero crossbars are 3-1/2 inches wide by 1-1/2 inches tall.

For the Rhino Rack aero bars, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Road Warrior Rooftop Bike Carrier # RBC036. This is a fork mount bike rack that is designed to fit with the Rhino Rack aero crossbars. The rack secures the bike at the front fork and the rear tire.

I recommend the Rhino Rack J-Style Folding Kayak Carrier # S512 to carry a kayak on the Rhino Rack aero crossbars. This folding carrier will lay flat when not in use. An additional expansion arm # RRS512X will allow you to carry two kayaks with this carrier.
