Question:

How do you wire 2-6v and 1-12v batteries together all 3 in an RV?

I attached a picture that shows how to run batteries in both series and in parallel. You will need to wire up the 6V batteries like the picture on the left so that they would be in series and at 12 volts.

To connect a 12 volt battery to that circuit you would need to run the positive post of the 12v battery to the positive side of the battery run on the in series batteries. Not the one that is connecting the two batteries, the one that would be the output of the two in-series batteries. The same goes for the negative side.

To switch from two 6 volt batteries to a single 12 volt you can simply connect all power to the positive terminal and the negative connects directly to the frame ground. The 6 volt batteries you currently have is set up in series. For a visual check out https://www.etrailer.com/question-248463.html.

Wiring two 6V batteries to get 12V power would be the same exact setup as the above diagram for wiring in series. The fact that they are 6V units doesn't change the wiring configuration at all.

You'll actually just need to follow Jameson's input above on how to wire them all on the same circuit (so they all get charge from the solar panels). Doing this will essentially give you two 12V batteries.

Is it true that 2- 6v in series and 1-12v will only be charge to the weaker of the two?

Are you talking about actually charging up a battery bank that's wired like that? The first battery is what will be initially charged but it should eventually start charging the others as well. This isn't the most efficient way to charge them though so it's always best to try and charge each battery up separately when possible.

Do you have a diagram of how to hook up 8x6v batteries to make 12v. Thanks

I think you mean, how to hook up eight batteries, rated for six volts each, to make 12 volts all together. There are a few methods. The simplest and cheapest will wear out one or two batteres quicker than the others and cause inballanced charge levels battery to battery. Since I do not have the ability to add a picture here, I wil email it to you.
