Usually a trailer's VIN number will be found on the frame near the trailer tongue, on a plate or sticker that carries the manufacturer name and trailer model information. That plate or sticker may be positioned in an out of the way location to protect it from wear from regular use and road hazards. It should be a 17 character VIN.
