I need to know if there is a 2inch hitch mount carrier that will support the weight of a C300. About 300lbs. Thanks

I contacted Permobil to find out the weight of their C300 power chair and it weighs 350-lbs including the batteries. We do indeed offer several ramped carriers that will have the capacity for this chair and that also will fit a 2-inch hitch.

Since I do not know your vehicle or hitch I suggest you first take a look at the vehicle owner's manual for any guidance regarding its tongue weight (TW) capacity. (TW is the downward force on the vehicle frame from whatever is attached to it.) Your hitch will also have a safety/warning sticker that indicates its TW capacity. BOTH the vehicle and the hitch must have a 500-lb TW rating since you need to account for the 350-lb weight of the chair itself PLUS the weight of the carrier you choose.

You can use the link provided to see all suitable options in ramped carriers that have the 500-lb capacity. Since the C3000 measures 24 x 40-inches you'll want to select a carrier with some extra room to make loading the chair easier. The Reese Cargo Carrier # PS10401-10402 that you referenced only has a 400-lb capacity so we can offer you better choices with the required capacity for your C300.

The Flint Hill Goods # FHG77ZR carrier folds up when not in use and include an anti-rattle device and reflectors for safety. When folded up the carrier will be 4-3/4-inches back from the hitch pin hole, but when in use it is 14 inches. You can measure your vehicle to see if this is enough clearance.
