Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta
Today on our 2014 Ford Fiesta we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Roadmaster Universal High Powered Diode Kit for Towed Vehicles, part number RM-154. Now we're going to begin our installation with the fascia off of our vehicle. We're doing this as part of the actual baseplate installation. This is when it makes the most sense, when you've got the front end off the car when you can get your wires routed really nicely. What we're going to do is we're going to take that long roll. It's going to have a 4-pole plug at each end. Take off just what we need here.
Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2014 Ford Fiesta
Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chain Review - 2014 Ford Fiesta
On this 2014 Ford Fiesta, we're going to review and install the Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains, Part Number TC1026. For reference we're working with a tire size today 185 x 60 x 15. We're going ahead and show what to look for before we put them on. Now this low-profile chain is DOT approved to meet minimum requirements. This will be your best bet for around town use such as a snowy day, so that way you'll be spinning out at every stop sign or stop light. This is a great to keep in your vehicle on the highway, in case you climb a hill and everybody else is spinning out on that as well. This end of a snow chain always goes towards the front of the vehicle. If you look underneath the crossbar here, it has an actual label Tire Side so we want this side to face the ice and snow.
Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta - Hidden Hitch
On this 2014 Ford Fiesta we're going to review and install the hidden hedge class instacorder receiver hitch. Part number 20271. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Fiesta. At first glance you can see how it actually sits below the bumper a little bit. Probably maybe around an inch and does go back up as soon as it can and up and over your exhaust. This is our inch and a quarter opening right here, very utilitarian.
Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta - Draw-tite
On this 2014 Ford Fiesta, we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite Fort Frame, class 1 inch and a quarter receiver hitch, part number 24855. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on our Fiesta. At first glance, you can actually see how it actually sits below the bumper a little bit probably about an inch. It does go back up as soon as it can, and up and over exhaust. This is our inch and a quarter opening right here, very utilitarian. Just a straight tube, and that's it. This is common for a class one receiver hitch from Draw-Tite.
Titan Chains Ladder Pattern Tire Chains Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta
On this 2014 Ford Fiesta we're gong to review and install Titan snow tire chains. Part number TC 1126. This is a class S chain. It is designed for vehicles that have limited clamp between the tire and the body work, and the suspension component behind the tire. Can you see a little bit of a twisted link here. A little bit more detail when it's on the tire, and again this is great for snow and also it gets a good grip on the ice as well. This is a great chain to keep with the vehicle such as when you're on a highway to get yourself out of a jam.
SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Braking System Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta
Today, in our 2014 Ford Fiesta, we'll be installing the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System, part number SM99251. To begin our install, we'll first going to go ahead and pop the hood, find a suitable mounting location for the operating unit. Now, for this application, you can see there's plenty of distance between the top of the engine and the bottom of the front cowling. What we're going to do is set the box in position under here, mark the attachment points, drill it out. Then, we'll remove the fasteners for the plastic cover, install our hardware, and then secure the box into place. Now, in cases where you're unable to mark the mounting locations, hold the box in place and just run your drill bit into the attachment point. Now that we have the attachment points drilled out, we'll go ahead and remove the clips here along the front of the cowling.
Deka Lead Quick Disconnect Battery Terminal Installation - 2014 Ford Fiesta
Today on our 2014 Ford Fiesta, we'll be installing the DeKa Quick Disconnect Battery Terminal, part number DW05312. To begin our install, we'll first go ahead and open the hood and locate the manufacturer's negative battery terminal and cable. As you can see here on the driver's side is the battery and this is the negative battery terminal. Now to install the Disconnect, we'll need to remove the manufacturer's battery cable here at the battery. In some applications you could then cut the cable, install it into the new Disconnect and then secure the Disconnect to the battery. However, because the cable is so short on this application, by the time we cut it we wouldn't have enough room to fit it where the battery terminal will attach to the battery safely. We're going to install a new cable. We're going to remove the old or manufacturer's cable completely. Let's go ahead and loosen up the terminal and remove the ring terminal fastener.
