Whether you purchased the Elite Series underbed gooseneck hitch from Reese or bought the system as part of your new Ford Super-Duty, this adapter is perfect if you want to add your standard, non-Elite Series fifth-wheel hitch into the mix. Just mount the adapter in your underbed rails using the integrated pucks and lock it place. Now you have the standard, above-bed base rails needed to install your fifth-wheel hitch.

I installed the adapter RP30156 into my 2012 F 350, which had the factory 5th wheel prep package. I installed my Husky 16K EZ Roller hitch onto the adapter. I did drop the hitch head down by approximately 2 inches. Overall project went well and I didn't have to buy a new hitch!
It was hard to tell from the pictures but this item uses the handles to rotate the locking clevis and is as easily removable as the OEM equipment! The fit was fantastic and assembly only took about 15 minutes. Big savings being able to continue using my Pro series 15k.
Was easy to put together. Works excellent with my Reese Pro 15K hutch that I had in my 2017 F-250 that used the rails instead. I lowered the head on my hitch 1 and 1/2 inches when done to make up for the difference in height between using the rails and now the adapter puck system. This set up works great because when I take it out, it will be in 3 pieces that I can lift and move myself. I ordered on Sunday and had it Wednesday. This was a great option for my 2021 F-250 with the puck system. Buy buying this I probably saved $1,400 or more by not having to buy a new slider hitch.

Fantastic. Have pulled the camper many times and many miles, with no issues.
We ordered this for our 2016 Ford F-350. The part comes unassembled, but with instructions that are easy to follow. I did have to adjust after assembly to fit our truck properly. ( The instructions state you may have to adjust ). If you get this I will recommend that you get the wrench, it would have made the adjustments easier. My hitch dropped right in the slots and pinned right in place. NOTE: the pins for the hitch are not included, so order them if you do not have them. The adapter does not rest on the bed, only on the FORD under bed adapter.

Everything is working like it is supposed to. I do not see excessive rusting, the paint is holding well.
Easy to remove and re-install.
The down side is the above bed box vs the rail system adds an extra height which elevates the nose of our 38 foot 5th wheel TH above level for hauling.
another point you should know if you do purchase this item make sure that you inspect the hardware carefully - really carefully !
the lock handles x 2 times had slag in the threads.
with the assistance of etrailer Reese sent me a replacement set which were worse than the first ones. Reese then paid me to get the threads cleaned out.

new 2022 F250 truck is 2 inches lower than the 2018 F250. the trailer sits lower
This was the perfect fit for a 2019 F250. Our other truck was in the shop and we needed to haul the toy hauler with our new truck. etrailer customer service was great because we needed this next day shipping to complete our camping trip. The F250 is a short bed and no slider hitch but there was still plenty of clearance to the cab.

The adapter has been working great. Gives me the flat floor I wanted and I didnt have to buy a different fifth wheel.
The adapter came as expected. It went together real fast. Keep everything loose when you insert same in the vehicle. You will have to adjust the four points, that is the nature of the beast. After the adjustment, the adapter fit fine. My Reese 16,000 hitch fit just fine.

Do you have trouble getting the slider to latch with the camper attached?
My new F350 didn't have the under bed 5th wheel mount and I didn't want to use the rails that bolt across the bed. I bought the Reese under bed parts, Reese adapter, new legs for the hitch and a bed mat and installed it myself. I drilled through the dimples in the bed, bolted in the under bed parts and everything lined up nice. Since I went from a short bed to a long bed I didn't need the slider legs so I replaced them with fixed legs. When the hitch and adapter are out of the bed, nothing is in the way on the floor. I like it.
Reese's Under Rail Adapter RP30156 is very easy to assemble and to install. Instructions provided are well written reducing the assemble time to les than five minutes. Installation took longer due to the snug fit between the trucks underbed rails and the adapter's pins.
Etrailer's delivery time is outstanding as well as their customer support team. They were very helpful in identifying the correct adapter match.
I recently purchased an F250 with the puck system. This drops right in easily and works great with my 5th wheel Reese hitch.
Just installed the Reese Rail Adapter in my 2015 Ford F-350. It fits the factory 5th wheel prep package perfectly. The only issue I had was with fine tuning the latches (trial and error) but even so, this was a breeze to install (15-20 minutes). As always the shipping is FAST! I had the kit at my door two days after ordering.
Great product, great price. Easy to assemble, and fit right into my factory Ford puck system as it should. Simplified my delima of what to do with my hitch after trading in my old truck, and refitting to my new truck.
Everything fit perfectly and the adapter was very snug with no play.
I received my Reese hitch frame using the 3 day shipping. It took around 1 hour to assemble. It was easy to assemble after watching the you tube video plus reading the paperwork that came with it.

It works great
We had our dealer install the RP30156. They were more than satisfied with the product. We had a 2014 F350 and installed this to make our Reese 5th wheel hitch work in our 2018 F350.
Received the 5th wheel adapter on time .
Took about 15 minutes to assembly, then it took about 15 more minutes to adjust . My husky 5th wheel slider fit perfect .Thank you so much.
Very easy to install, I didn't curse or throw a tool putting it together!
It really looks good with my old hitch in my new 2012 F-350 Lariat.
I haven't towed my RV as of yet, but I will let y'all know how that goes when we go camping next weekend. Attached are some pics.
