Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a look at these Putco metal red LED-type 1157 bulbs. Now these replacement-type 1157 bulbs are designed for use with tail lights or brake lights. So to confirm, if these are going to work for your vehicle, take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com and input the year, make and model of your vehicle, and our fit guide will let you know if these bulbs will work for your vehicle or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Let me go ahead and hook these up to my power source here just to give you an idea of what these look like. These are very bright and have a very consistent light to them.
These high intensity LEDs offer more light than your factory bulbs. They're going to admit a 360 degree light around the bulb increasing brightness and visibility over factory bulbs. As you can see, I kind of have this loosely connected, a little bit precariously but hopefully get an idea of what the light looks like. Again, very bright, very brilliant. Let me go ahead and turn my lights off here real quick and give you a better idea here.
Connecting my wires again. Now, each bulb has 15 diodes that have a light output of 500 lumens. I'm gonna go ahead and go for a wide view here, just to give you more of a wider view here and shine this up here against my wall holding the wires together here. So these 10 watt bulbs are going to use much less power than your standard incandescent bulbs. They're going to burn cooler and they're going to run longer and brighter and they're gonna run up to 50,000 hours.
Now, the copper core is going to maintain efficient heat control and powerful light output. And the large base series also feature a solid, aluminum frame for additional thermal management. Now these bulbs do feature error-free performance with canvas and they are not going to trigger warning lights. They are EMC compliant and the plug and play design is going to allow for quick hassle-free installation. Well that's gonna conclude our brief look today.
