It offers a lot of great things, including a really nice digital readout. So let's take a closer look and see if this is gonna be the right brake controller for you. You know, an aftermarket brake controller is a great option for those of you that are planning on pulling a trailer with electric brakes. And the reason being is not only is it gonna give you safety for you and others out on the road by being able to apply brakes on the trailer, it's not gonna push your vehicle around. And it's also gonna take a lot of the strain off your factory brakes of your vehicle by really just slowing the trailer down and not putting all of that abuse on those front brakes. more

Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller Installation Guide - 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer- Video
Hi, this is Scott with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at and installing our Curt Echo wireless brake controller on our 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer. To get this brake controller installed, you're gonna need the ETBC7L. The reason you're gonna need that is it's gonna give you a working seven-way here to the rear of our vehicle so we can actually plug in our brake controller. Now what's nice about this brake controller is it's not gonna be a permanent brake controller. So say you have a couple different vehicles or a few different vehicles that you use to pull trailers with and you want to use one brake controller between all of those, this is a really good option for that. more

How to Install Your Curt Echo Under-Dash Bluetooth Brake Controller - 2015 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Hey, everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the CURT Echo under-dash trailer brake controller here on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. So the trailer profile screen, it's a nice way to save the settings for different trailers. So if you only have one trailer, this feature might not be as useful for you as some of the others with multiple trailers. But basically how this works is we're gonna select the profile, 1 through 5, and then we're gonna adjust the settings for that particular trailer. So we've got a little travel trailer hooked up now, I go ahead and select profile 1, then adjust the settings for this specific trailer. Let's say, I have another cargo trailer I haul as well. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over the CURT Echo Under-Dash Trailer Brake Controller here on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. So the CURT Echo Under-Dash Trailer Brake Controller is one of my favorite options on the market. And the reason for this is simple. With most traditional brake controllers, you have to drill into the bottom of your dash and then you have this bulky controller that you're gonna hit your knees on getting in and out of your truck here. With the Echo Under-Dash, everything is gonna be installed behind the dash there. There's no drilling into the dash whatsoever and you're not gonna be sacrificing your leg room. more

This Bluetooth-enabled brake controller wirelessly connects to your smartphone, turning your phone into a brake controller interface. Smart device OS requirements for the Apple iPhone is gonna be iOS 5 or higher. And for your Android devices, the operating system software is gonna be 4.3 or higher. Now, this is a proportional brake controller, so what that means is it's going to activate your trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action. But before we get into that, let's take a minute, check it out and make sure it's gonna work for you. With the Explorer being a full size SUV, you know they're capable vehicles and people use 'em to do a lot of different things, which does include pulling some larger trailers around and if your trailer has brakes on it, you're gonna need a way to apply the brakes and that's exactly what a trailer brake controller is gonna do. Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller Set Up - 2023 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer, and today, we are taking a look and installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller on a 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Now, in order to get this all installed, unfortunately, this is not a plug-and-play kit, we don't have a tow package on this vehicle, so in order to get it to work properly, you are gonna need to pick up the ETBC7 kit, which is gonna be all the wiring associated with it, including the seven-pole. And with that being said, you are gonna need to pick up a four-pole wiring harness if you don't already have that. But finished product on this is awesome. A lot of times, when you think of a brake controller, you're thinking of something that's mounted up on a dash, that you're gonna hit your knees on, and on newer vehicles, it's really, really hard to find a spot where those work and aren't in the way. And that's where, I think the Redarc brake controllers really just crush it, because this is your brake controller, it's just a small knob that you can really mount in a lot of different places, you can adjust gain super easily, you have your manual override just at a push of a button. more

We are going to be installing this REDARC Brake Controller, but we are also going to be installing the etrailer brake controller 7-way and that's gonna be a plug on the back and you will need that to get this kit to work. This is our 7-way on the back. Now for this video we are installing all of this on a Telluride that does not have a factory tow package. And that is something to keep in mind 'cause your kit might be a little bit different. Now, one of the things I like about our REDARC brake controllers is all you're gonna see is just this little dial here on your dash. You're not gonna have that big bulky style that fits down here and you're always hitting your leg on it when you get in and out of your Jeep. And with the Jeeps now they really are contoured on the inside to kind of fit you. So if you can find a place to mount that, it really just sticks out like a sore thumb where this is gonna be accessible, it's gonna hide real easy as far as your control box goes, and all you're gonna have is this button, which is really nice and easy to operate. more

It's Kevin here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the REDARC Tow-Pro Liberty trailer brake controller here in our 2021 Jeep Gladiator. So if you own a Gladiator and you plan on towing a trailer that's gonna weigh over 3,000 pounds or any trailer that has brakes on it, you're gonna need to have a trailer brake controller so that way whenever you step on the brakes in your vehicle, you can actuate the brakes on the trailer as well. This is gonna be a legal requirement in a lot of states and overall is there to help with the overall safety when you're making those trips from point A to point B. Now there are a lot of options when it comes to trailer brake controllers, but for the Jeep Gladiator, there is only one that I'd highly recommend and that is gonna be from REDARC. And that is because all of the components are gonna be hidden inside of our dash instead of out up against the outside of the dash to where now it's gonna be interfering with the little bit of room that we have in this compact Jeep. more

Hi, I am Daniel with etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the REDARC Tow-Pro Liberty brake controller on our 2022 Ram 2500. Having a brake controller in your vehicle is gonna allow you to control those brakes on your camper or trailer, and a lot of times it is enforced by the law to have one. So it is good to have one, as well as it's just there so you can come to a safe stop. And that manual override function could save your life if you are in a sway situation. This brake controller does have proportional braking, and all that really means is how hard you press on that brake pedal, it's gonna be the same pressure on your camper. So if you press it really hard, you can come to a sudden stop, or you can come to a nice, gentle stop. more

Hi, I'm Dale with etrailer and today we're going to take a look and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT Echo Braking system on our 2024 Toyota Tundra. A braking system is gonna allow you to utilize the brakes on your vehicle as well as the brakes on a trailer so If you got a heavy load behind you and you have a breaking system, it's gonna allow you to just stop that more easily. We have a couple different braking systems on the market, but the CURT Echo is the only one that's truly wireless. All you have to do is plug it into your existing seven way. And you don't have to run any wires or install a ETBC7 system which can be time consuming. If you're towing a ton, it does come with this rubber strap that you can apply around that cover so you can keep this on there all the time (hand tapping) and you don't have to worry about it falling out. more

And if you're used to traditional-style brake controllers that you hit your knees on when you get in a vehicle, no longer is that the case. A lot of interiors on vehicles are just not truck-like anymore. There's a lot of creature comforts, and finding a spot to put a brake controller tends to get pretty difficult. And at this point with technology, you can get everything that you would get from a traditional brake controller, and a knob that looks almost factory when installed. Hey there, neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer. And today we're gonna be taking a look at the best trailer brake controller options for your 2026 Honda Ridgeline. Since 2017 it's been more common for the Honda Ridgeline to already come with that factory seven-way and tow package. So that way you have a little bit less work to do before you can actually go in and install your trailer brake controller. Now that's not always the case for every single Ridgeline out there. So you may have to go to the back of your vehicle, just double check what kind of trailer wiring harness you actually have back there, whether that's just a four-pole socket, or if you have that full seven-way. more

Hey there neighbor, it's Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the best trailer brake controller options for your 2025 Honda Ridgeline. Since 2017, it's been more common for the Honda Ridgeline to already come with that factory seven way and tow package so that way you have a little bit less work to do before you can actually go in and install your trailer brake controller. Now that's not always the case for every single Ridgeline out there, so you may have to go to the back of your vehicle, just double check what kind of trailer wiring harness you actually have back there, whether that's just a four pole socket or if you have that full seven way. And if you do have the full seven way you want to verify that each one of those functions is working and then get on choosing which trailer brake controller is gonna be the right fit for you. Now there's a variety of different options here and I'm gonna start out working my way from your guys' point of view from the right all the way over to the left and I'm gonna start out with Curt. So we've got a couple options from Curt, they're all named the same thing, the Curt Echo, but there's a variety of different ways that this can be installed. more

Setting Up Your Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller - 2020 Honda Ridgeline- Video
Hey there, neighbors. Kevin here with etrailer. And today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the REDARC Tow-Pro Liberty trailer brake controller here in our 2020 Honda Ridgeline. So if you own a Honda Ridgeline, you probably wanna do some truck stuff with it, and that is going to require a couple of different components. And your truck might come with some of 'em, but it definitely is not gonna come with a trailer brake controller so that way you can actuate the brakes on the trailer behind you and come to a nice complete and safe stop, so that way, you're not running into the car in front of you. When it comes to trailer brake controllers, there are plenty of options that are gonna be compatible with your Ridgeline, but there's only gonna be one that is going to be the best for it, and that's gonna be the Tow-Pro Liberty because we're no longer gonna have that knee knocker-style hunk of plastic sitting in our way. more

Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller Set Up - 2024 Nissan Pathfinder- Video
Hey there neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the REDARC Tow-Pro Liberty Trailer Brake Controller here on our 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. The Nissan Pathfinder is a great crossover SUV for the family. It's got nice three-row seating so that way you can haul everybody there at once, but because of that, doesn't really have too much storage space. So it kinda limits what we're able to take with us when we're out on our adventures. So one of the options is to have a roof rack, like our neighbor does. Looks like that's a factory one from Nissan. more

Hi everyone, Jesse here with Etrailer. Today we'll be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install the Red Arc Tow Pro Trail Kit on our 2025 Nissan Frontier. Here's what the Tow Pro looks like when it's installed on your vehicle. This is what we really like about this brake controller is everything's really hidden except for what you need access to, and that's this knob. This is where of course you would adjust your braking level and also you'll push in on it and that will manually apply the brakes. Another feature that is unique to the trail version of the Red Arc Tow Pro is the off-road mode. more

Installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller on a 2018 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hey there neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Trailer Brake Controller here on our 2018 Toyota Highlander. If you're in the process of getting your Highlander ready to tow a trailer, especially one that has brakes, there's gonna be a couple of different things that you're gonna need. Starting out you're gonna need the trailer hitch receiver, so that way you can add in that ball mount so you can actually physically connect to the trailer. After that, you're gonna need a four-pole wiring harness, so that way you can transfer your vehicle's light signals back to the trailer so that you can remain street legal and let everyone else on the road know exactly what your intentions are. And then from there, if your trailer has brakes, you're gonna also need to upgrade over to a seven pole wiring harness, which we have here at etrailer, it's our ETBC7 kit. And that's gonna allow you to plug right into that four pole wire harness, and then you'll have a couple other wires to run up to your brake controller and then up to the battery as well, so that way you can get power. more
