Setting Up Your Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller - 2024 Toyota Tundra- Video
Hi, I'm Dale with etrailer and today we're going to take a look and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT Echo Braking system on our 2024 Toyota Tundra. A braking system is gonna allow you to utilize the brakes on your vehicle as well as the brakes on a trailer so If you got a heavy load behind you and you have a breaking system, it's gonna allow you to just stop that more easily. We have a couple different braking systems on the market, but the CURT Echo is the only one that's truly wireless. All you have to do is plug it into your existing seven way. And you don't have to run any wires or install a ETBC7 system which can be time consuming. If you're towing a ton, it does come with this rubber strap that you can apply around that cover so you can keep this on there all the time (hand tapping) and you don't have to worry about it falling out. more

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer, and, today, we are taking a look and installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller in a 2016 Ram 1500. And if you're used to traditional-style brake controllers that you hit your knees on when you get in a vehicle, no longer is that the case. A lot of interiors on vehicles are just not truck-like anymore. There's a lot of creature comforts, and finding a spot to put a brake controller tends to get pretty difficult. And at this point with technology, you can get everything that you would get from a traditional brake controller, and a knob that looks almost factory when installed. Hey there neighbor, it's Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the best trailer brake controller options for your 2025 Honda Ridgeline. Since 2017, it's been more common for the Honda Ridgeline to already come with that factory seven way and tow package so that way you have a little bit less work to do before you can actually go in and install your trailer brake controller. Now that's not always the case for every single Ridgeline out there, so you may have to go to the back of your vehicle, just double check what kind of trailer wiring harness you actually have back there, whether that's just a four pole socket or if you have that full seven way. And today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the REDARC Tow-Pro Liberty trailer brake controller here in our 2020 Honda Ridgeline. So if you own a Honda Ridgeline, you probably wanna do some truck stuff with it, and that is going to require a couple of different components. And your truck might come with some of 'em, but it definitely is not gonna come with a trailer brake controller so that way you can actuate the brakes on the trailer behind you and come to a nice complete and safe stop, so that way, you're not running into the car in front of you. When it comes to trailer brake controllers, there are plenty of options that are gonna be compatible with your Ridgeline, but there's only gonna be one that is going to be the best for it, and that's gonna be the Tow-Pro Liberty because we're no longer gonna have that knee knocker-style hunk of plastic sitting in our way. more

This is what we really like about this brake controller is everything's really hidden except for what you need access to, and that's this knob. This is where of course you would adjust your braking level and also you'll push in on it and that will manually apply the brakes. Installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller on a 2018 Toyota Highlander- Video
Hey there neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Trailer Brake Controller here on our 2018 Toyota Highlander. If you're in the process of getting your Highlander ready to tow a trailer, especially one that has brakes, there's gonna be a couple of different things that you're gonna need. Starting out you're gonna need the trailer hitch receiver, so that way you can add in that ball mount so you can actually physically connect to the trailer. After that, you're gonna need a four-pole wiring harness, so that way you can transfer your vehicle's light signals back to the trailer so that you can remain street legal and let everyone else on the road know exactly what your intentions are. And then from there, if your trailer has brakes, you're gonna also need to upgrade over to a seven pole wiring harness, which we have here at etrailer, it's our ETBC7 kit. And that's gonna allow you to plug right into that four pole wire harness, and then you'll have a couple other wires to run up to your brake controller and then up to the battery as well, so that way you can get power. more

Hey there neighbors, Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt TriFlex Next trailer brake controller here on our 2025 Ram 1500. If you plan on towing a trailer or maybe your camper and that trailer or camper has trailer brakes on it, you're gonna need a way to actually actuate those brakes. And most of the time, especially with a half ton truck, you're not gonna have a factory trailer brake controller. So adding one in aftermarket is going to be a must so that way you can go out on those trips or do your job as you're hauling stuff around on that trailer. Now our trailer brake controller that we install today is the Curt TriFlex and it's going to be able to actuate trailer brakes up to four axles. Now that's a quite a bit of overkill for a half ton truck. more

Well, neighbors, it's Brad here from etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Tekonsha Voyager ID brake controller on a 2018 Ford Explorer. Adding a brake controller to really any vehicle is a great way to safely tow a trailer that has a seven-pole and brakes on it. So not only do you need a brake controller, but make sure you have a seven-pole already installed for this to work properly. And generally when you think of a brake controller, you think of those large boxes that are somewhere underneath the dash and you probably smacked your knees on them before, and those are a great option for some vehicles. But modern vehicles, the interiors are jam-packed with creature comforts and ergonomics and style kind of take over the normal space that we have here. So getting a brake controller that's gonna be a small fit, you know, for small spaces but also look really clean is actually pretty easy to do these days. more

So if you own a Ram 1500 and you're planning on towing your camper, or maybe you have a couple of different utility trailers or an enclosed trailer, anything that's gonna have brakes on it, you're gonna need a way to actuate those brakes so that way you can come to a nice, safe and complete stop and not put all of that onto the truck side. So the way to do that is to add in a trailer brake controller if you don't already have one from the factory. And when it comes to that, there are a few different options, traditional knee knocker style where you'd actually have a, you know, giant control box. I would absolutely go with REDARC, and the reason being, the finished product is super clean, super easy to use, and you can have a brake controller that looks like this one installed. It's exactly where I want it to be. It's super easy to use. You don't need digital screens on a lot of brake controllers for just pulling a normal trailer. And a lot of times those older styles, again, are gonna mount somewhere in this area, and you're either gonna be hitting it with your knees when you get in, or it's just not gonna be at a great spot to apply those brakes you in a panic stop or do a manual override. more

Hi, I'm Danny with etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT Spectrum Brake Controller on our 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. One of the best things about this brake controller specifically is that if you don't have a giant brake controller somewhere on your dash, you can actually mount this anywhere you'd like, and it looks pretty good. It looks like a OEM knob that would come on your truck already installed. Now we'll go ahead and go over some of the functions of this knob here. So the first function is the brightness. So if it's real late at night, you can turn the brightness down, which is nice. more

If you're somebody in the market for a premium brake controller that has a ton of different settings, then this is gonna be a great option. It's proportional braking, meaning how hard you press on the brake pedal is gonna determine how hard the brakes press on your trailer. This brake controller has a ton of bells and whistles, and if you're somebody who tows many different trailers, this is definitely gonna be the one for you because you can hold this top right button and there's actually gonna be five different presets. So if you have a lighter trailer, you can put that on trailer one and that'll be different brake settings for if you have a heavier trailer. Staying on this top right button here, if you just press it once, it's gonna tell you your boost level. more

Hi, I'm Danny with etrailer and today we're gonna take a look at the Curt Venturer NEXT Brake Controller with Custom Wire Harness for a 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500. There are two types of braking controllers, one with time delay and one with proportional braking. The one we have today is time delayed, meaning it's not going to sense whether how hard or light you're pressing on the brakes. Now you can set the severity of braking in the system here, but this is more for people who are towing with lightweight loads or they're not gonna be towing a ton. Hi, I'm Danny with etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at the Curt TriFlex Next Brake Controller on our 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500. This brake controller has proportional braking, meaning the amount you press on your brake in your vehicle is gonna be the same pressure applied to the brakes on the trailer. So this is great for people who frequently tow, or if you're in heavy traffic, if you just lightly tap the brakes, it's not gonna put that full force on the brakes every time. So it actually will make the brakes in your trailer last longer. Now, I'll go ahead and show you the functions on this. We do have a mode on the left here and then a top and bottom arrow. more

Hey there, neighbors. Kevin here with etrailer, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install REDARC's Tow-Pro Liberty Trailer Brake Controller here on our 2020 Nissan Pathfinder. Now with ours today, we did have the tow package so we we inchesre able to unhook the old four-pole wire harness and just plug it right in our seven-way wiring harness and then all of our relays that come along with that kit and that gave us everything we needed to actuate the brakes and send our light functions back to our trailer. So our neighbor came to us today because this is their son's vehicle and they had just recently bought a small travel trailer that's within the towing capacity of this vehicle and wanted to be able to allow their son to take it out on the road, but he needed a way to be able to not only pass his light signals back to that trailer, but also actuate the brake assemblies on it whenever he's coming to a stop. And that's where CURT came in with their T-connector wire harness, so that way, we can get the lights transferred back and then REDARC helped him out with the trailer brake controller, so that way, we can send back that signal to each one of the brake assemblies and come to a nice, safe stop. So one of the cool things about this, it's gonna start out at that blue light but as you increase the intensity, it's gonna start changing to a pink and then into a red. more

Hi, this is Scott with Etrailer. Today we're taking a look at and installing our Red Arc brake controller for 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. One of the first things I like about the Red Arc tow Pro Liberty is the fact that I don't have a great big box sitting here in the way. A lot of your older style brake controllers are gonna have this big thing hanging down and then you're gonna have the wires coming down under that and they're kind of just draped up and and around. So one of the things that's nice is the only thing you have with this brake controller is just your dial and your switch right here, which is really nice and it's still accessible and you can still use it just like a normal brake controller. It's just most of it is hidden. more
