You know, when you have that bad snow and ice that you just can't quite get the traction through, in fact, there are some stretches of road in the United States that will at least require you to have tire chains available to yourself if you're gonna travel down that road, so having a set of these in the car that you could take with you everywhere as a just in case is never a bad idea. And what that means is that you're going to get a device that's going to allow you to really kind of pull and give you several different anchor points to get the right tension depending on your tire size, being a diamond pattern, which means that you are gonna have chains that go directly across the tire, but you're also gonna have chains that go with the tire. A diamond pattern is really gonna help with handling on the road, you're steering and things like that. more

Now, when you're in your vehicle and you're coming across some adverse weather conditions or maybe you're planning a trip somewhere that requires you to have tire chains in the vehicle at all times, these cable chains from Titan Chain are gonna do a really good job on your Palisade. First and foremost, the Palisade does not have a whole lot of room in the wheel well, so it does require a Class S chain, meaning it's gonna be a much smaller chain than some of the others you might find on the market. And the whole reason for that is we don't wanna get any interference back here in the back with our suspension or around the wheel well itself. more

And it's all gonna be done through this ratcheting device here that's attached to a cable and loop through right down here. Now the chains are made out of a titanium alloy, so corrosion is not gonna be an issue. more

Now this set of tire chains by Konig is self-tensioning, meaning it's gonna use this cam system to keep everything tightened down and keep the chain snug against the tire as you're rolling along. The tire chains are made of a nickel manganese alloy, which is gonna make them very, very corrosion resistant and it is going to have a square link. Now, a square link like this has some nice edges to it, really does a good job of biting into the ice and snow. more
