Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer and today we're gonna take a look at the Thule Track Rack Ladder Rack and we're gonna see how it fits and how it installs on our 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500. A ladder rack is a great way to haul those items that are just too long for your truck bed. It's gonna allow you to load them so that they'll go a bit over the cab. And in the case of our truck today, we do have the crew cab version with a 6 3/4 bed, just so you could use it for scale. Assembly is a pretty easy thing along with the installation, which we'll show you later. And we've also got it set up in a way that we have a maximum crossbar spread. more

Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer and today we're gonna take a look at the Yakima OverHaul Ladder Rack and we're gonna see how it fits and how it installs on our 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500. Whether you're using it for recreation or for work, a ladder rack is an excellent way to carry those loads that might be just a bit too long for your truck bed. So, for instance, if you have, you know, a lot of boards, lumber and things like that, or frankly ladders, things that extend far beyond your tailgate if you we inchesre to put them in your truck bed, using this ladder rack is gonna allow you to extend those out over your cab and therefore carry some of those longer loads. And the great thing about the OverHaul is the versatility. It's very adjustable. Not only are you free to adjust how close and how far apart your bars are, because these aren't permanently in your stake pockets, you could also adjust how high or how low they're gonna be as well, just depending on what you want to use it for. more

Hello, neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at the Yakima OverHaul Truck Bed Ladder Rack, and we're gonna see how it works with and how it installs on our 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500. So if you're the owner of a Silverado and you have an existing tonneau cover on it like we have today, ton of covers can often come being compatible with ladder racks. And one of the ways that they can be compatible with a ladder rack is to use these T slots along the rails right here. So if you have something like the Retrax XR or what we have today is the Pace Edwards UltraGroove, you're gonna be able to mount your ladder rack and use this T track as a mount without interfering with the use of your tonneau cover at all. So one of the coolest things about the OverHaul is that it is adjustable. You could adjust it up and down for height. more

This is Curt with etrailer and today we're gonna take a look at the Yakima Outpost HD Overland truck bed rack and we're gonna see how it fits and how it installs on our 2024 Chevy Colorado. Now a overlanding rack like this can come in very, very handy for you in your Colorado. If you wanted to carry something that generally wouldn't fit on a roof rack here over the cab, things that are heavier like a rooftop tent, would be an excellent thing to put up here. But it's also gonna be able to accommodate things like your kayak carrier, roof baskets, bike carriers, really anything you could put on normal crossbars, you'll be able to use with these. They're just gonna be a lot easier to reach and you're gonna get a higher capacity. These bars are gonna give us a 500 pound weight capacity on road. more

This particular Yakima Overhaul kit is for if you have that sport track or utility track in the bed of your Toyota Tacoma. Because of how this mounts, unfortunately, if you have a Tonneau cover, it will not be compatible with that, nor will it be compatible with a toolbox that mounts to the sidewalls either. So if either one of those are what you have, there are other truck bed racks available for you. This one unfortunately would not work. more

Hello, neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule TracRac TracONE Ladder Rac and we're gonna see how it installs and how it fits on our 2024 Chevy Colorado. Now, a ladder rack, like the Thule TracRac, can be used for both recreational or work purposes. It's an excellent built rack, very easy to modify if you need to, so you have a choice, really, with the way this installs of getting the crossbars a little closer or a little further apart, however you really need it. You're gonna get a total of 65 inches of bar space and it's made out of a powder coated aluminum, which is gonna make it lightweight but also very durable and very rust and corrosion resistant. In fact, the track rack gives you a load capacity of 800 pounds, which means it could be used not only for recreational purposes, I mentioned, but if you've got a load up here of some lumber or anything else that's pretty heavy, at 800 pound capacity, this can handle just about anything you want to throw at it. more

Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Thule TracRac TracOne Ladder Rack and seeing how it works with our 2025 GMC Sierra 1500. Now, a ladder rack is an excellent option for anybody that has some of those longer payloads that don't fit completely into the truck bed. The Sierra 1500 we have today comes with a 5-3/4 bed. It's the shortest bed that they offer, but they do have beds up to eight feet. These aren't put in any specific position like you would if you had a ladder rack with stake pockets so it also allows you to move your back bar as far and as close to the front bar as you need. Now this is gonna be a great option for those of you that have a 2024 Silverado and you're really just looking to add storage up top above your bed, whether it be for lumber, surfboards, ladders, as the name implies, or really anything in-between. But the great part about this rack is gonna be its versatility and usable storage above the roof that normally you wouldn't get with a standard ladder rack. Some of the other ladder racks out there will be ones with a an extension above the front, but it's not adjustable. You're kind of stuck with that. more

If you have a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado and you're looking for a way to transport those longer items, anything like ladders or lumber, but at a more affordable price point, than the etrailer truck rack is gonna be a great option for you. So let's check it out. What I really like about a ladder rack is is it gonna offer you a lot more opportunities when you're trying to load your gear on your vehicle. So what I mean specifically for a truck is yes, you do have a lot of space in your bed, but what's gonna happen a lot of times is if you have anything that's extra long, like lumber, ladders or even a kayak, it's gonna stick out from the back of your bed, especially with the one we have today, this is gonna be a five and a half foot bed. So most items won't fit in here, super neat. more
