Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at this custom fit gas strut for the rear liftgate. Folks, this fits a '05 through 2010 Scion tC, and this gas strut replaces one damaged or worn out strut on the vehicle's liftgate. It does feature a dampening groove that's built inside that's gonna help prevent bouncing and give you a smooth operation, no matter what the temperature is. Now, I have a ball socket here, and one on this end. And the way you measure these is center of ball socket to center of ball socket, and I get 17 inches on center exactly. more

Now, folks, this is a custom fit for a 2005 to 2011 Cadillac STS Sedan, and this is gonna replace quantity one of a worn out or damaged strut on your vehicle's hood. Now, we do recommend always replacing these in pairs because if one's already worn out, the other one's probably not too far behind, and you don't want to get stuff in a bind and things like that. Now, this does have a dampening groove built into it inside of the tube, and that's gonna help prevent bouncing, and then you're gonna get a smooth operation from that no matter what the temperature is outside. Now, this is a black powder-coated steel tube and then you have a nitrate-coated rod. more
