So if you end up flat towing and you use a portable braking system, most of the time, you're gonna need to get power to that. And so the easiest way to do that is gonna be with the 12-volt outlet that is connected directly to your battery, which gives you constant 12-volt power no matter what your key's on in your vehicle, or how your flat tow mode is set up. So with that, it's super simple. All you're gonna do is these get your brake system put in place, and where we have ours set up, we have it put up in here where it's kind of outta the way, but still accessible. more

And this is gonna be a great option for those of you that are gonna be flat towing a vehicle and you need to power up your braking system because many times your vehicle, well a lot of new vehicles just don't have a cigarette style plug to plug into. And a lot of times as well, a lot of those won't work while you're flat towing. In fact, in the case of our vehicle today, the battery needs to be disconnected so there is no power going through. Hi, I'm Daniel with etrailer, and today we're gonna take a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the 12-volt outlet kit on our 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. These 12-volt outlets are gonna have a constant power supply to the battery, so even when your vehicle's off, you still have power to this. And these are most commonly used for braking systems, so you still have power when you're flat towing your vehicle. The wire simply comes through our firewall, it gets grounded to somewhere on the vehicle, and then that power wire is routed all the way to our positive post on our battery. Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster 12-volt outlet kit on a 2025 Buick Encore GX. And this is gonna be a great addition and maybe even a required addition if you're using a portable braking system. Today we're putting the Blue Ox Patriot's braking system on our Encore, which is a great braking system, but in order to power it, you want 12-volt power that's constant and getting 12-volt power the entire time. While this vehicle does require a battery disconnect in order to flat tow it, the 12-volt outlet kit is run directly to the battery, so there's constant 12-volt power. And it's essentially just a cigarette-style lighter outlet. And it's gonna be a remote spot to where you mount it wherever you want and you'll always have the power to be able to plug in that braking system. more

How to Install the Demco 12 Volt Outlet Kit in a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco 12 volt outlet kit on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. And this is a great option to add an extra outlet into your Jeep that's directly tied to your battery so you always have power. In more cases than not, we're installing these for a portable braking system because these run off of 12 volt power that have a cigarette style outlet that plugs in. Now the issue is a lot of your factory outlets really aren't this style anymore. Most of 'em have gone to a USB or that doesn't have 12 volt power when the car is off, and then many times the flat tow mode, you will have the key off so that doesn't have power and adding the Demco 12 volt kit will always have the power for the braking system to work properly. This kit allows you to mount the 12 volt outlet really anywhere inside of the vehicle and it does come with a long length of wire to be able to run to your batteries, so keep that in mind that you will be running this through a grommet into the engine bay to get power from the battery. more

How to Install: 12 Volt Outlet Kit, 20 amps on your 2023 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster 12-volt outlet kit, rated at 20 amps, on a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. Installation of a 12-volt outlet is super easy, you're essentially just gonna be running the outlet inside the vehicle so you can get constant power even when the vehicle's in flat tow mode. So for our instance, this works really well with a portable braking system. So really all we're gonna do is take the wires from that outlet, run it through the firewall, and we are gonna be extending our wires to get to the battery, but we just tie off the positive terminal, and the other wire goes to a ground, and then you'll have that constant 12-volt power even in that flat tow mode. A lot of times in this kit people will use the fuse tap, which also works pretty well. You already have a spade connector and it does come with a clip to allow you to do that, but we've found that most of the times we want to get this specifically to the battery, not off of fuses, because when some vehicles are in flat tow mode, it cuts power to a lot of different auxiliary electronics, and so going directly off the battery means that it's always gonna have that power, and when it comes to our braking system, that's what we're gonna be doing. more

Now this USB charger will fit a standard 12 volt outlet in your car or your truck, your motorcycle or even your boat. It is a 3.3 amp charger which adapts to your device for safe recharging and you can charge two USB devices at the same time with up to five volts or 3.3 amps available to share or you can use in charge one USB-C device faster. The current adapts to your devices amperage for safe recharging and what's nice is when you do plug this in to your 12 volt power port, these USB ports do light up in a blue color when they're plugged in to make it easy to find the ports in the dark. If you notice, it does come with this removable weatherproof cap that you pop over there and it does protect those ports. more

So, it'll heat up the seat of your chair whether you're camping, hunting, at a tailgate, and go up the back of the chair as well to provide some radiant heat. This is a battery powered seat pad, and this includes a 12 volt 5.5 millimeter barrel cord, and it also comes with a five volt USB-C connector to connect to a power bank or a power station. Demco's 12 volt outlet kit is gonna give you everything that you're gonna need to be able to hook up a 12 volt outlet in your vehicle, and you have the options to wire it however you like, whether you want this outlet to be powered all the time or only powered on under certain conditions, like when the key is in the accessory or run position. Oftentimes, these are used for other accessory components. In this instance, we're using it for a flat tow setup so we can power our supplemental braking system but it could be used for other items as well, potentially for monitor light systems.
