These 12-volt outlets are gonna have a constant power supply to the battery, so even when your vehicle's off, you still have power to this. And these are most commonly used for braking systems, so you still have power when you're flat towing your vehicle. The wire simply comes through our firewall, it gets grounded to somewhere on the vehicle, and then that power wire is routed all the way to our positive post on our battery. This kit does have an in-line fuse already attached to it, so it'll keep your portable braking system safe. Now getting into the install, this is super easy. more

Installing the Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit on a 2025 Buick Encore GX- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster 12-volt outlet kit on a 2025 Buick Encore GX. And this is gonna be a great addition and maybe even a required addition if you're using a portable braking system. Today we're putting the Blue Ox Patriot's braking system on our Encore, which is a great braking system, but in order to power it, you want 12-volt power that's constant and getting 12-volt power the entire time. While this vehicle does require a battery disconnect in order to flat tow it, the 12-volt outlet kit is run directly to the battery, so there's constant 12-volt power. And it's essentially just a cigarette-style lighter outlet. And it's gonna be a remote spot to where you mount it wherever you want and you'll always have the power to be able to plug in that braking system. more

How to Install the Demco 12 Volt Outlet Kit in a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco 12 volt outlet kit on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. And this is a great option to add an extra outlet into your Jeep that's directly tied to your battery so you always have power. In more cases than not, we're installing these for a portable braking system because these run off of 12 volt power that have a cigarette style outlet that plugs in. Now the issue is a lot of your factory outlets really aren't this style anymore. Most of 'em have gone to a USB or that doesn't have 12 volt power when the car is off, and then many times the flat tow mode, you will have the key off so that doesn't have power and adding the Demco 12 volt kit will always have the power for the braking system to work properly. This kit allows you to mount the 12 volt outlet really anywhere inside of the vehicle and it does come with a long length of wire to be able to run to your batteries, so keep that in mind that you will be running this through a grommet into the engine bay to get power from the battery. more

How to Install: 12 Volt Outlet Kit, 20 amps on your 2023 Jeep Gladiator- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Roadmaster 12-volt outlet kit, rated at 20 amps, on a 2023 Jeep Gladiator. Installation of a 12-volt outlet is super easy, you're essentially just gonna be running the outlet inside the vehicle so you can get constant power even when the vehicle's in flat tow mode. So for our instance, this works really well with a portable braking system. So really all we're gonna do is take the wires from that outlet, run it through the firewall, and we are gonna be extending our wires to get to the battery, but we just tie off the positive terminal, and the other wire goes to a ground, and then you'll have that constant 12-volt power even in that flat tow mode. A lot of times in this kit people will use the fuse tap, which also works pretty well. You already have a spade connector and it does come with a clip to allow you to do that, but we've found that most of the times we want to get this specifically to the battery, not off of fuses, because when some vehicles are in flat tow mode, it cuts power to a lot of different auxiliary electronics, and so going directly off the battery means that it's always gonna have that power, and when it comes to our braking system, that's what we're gonna be doing. more

And this is what our Demco auxiliary outlet looks like when it's installed. This is gonna provide us with 12 volt outlets so we can power up various accessories and you have the option to wire this however you want. So you could wire it directly to your battery to give you an outlet that's powered all the time or you could wire it to an ignition source that would allow it to only be powered up when the keys on. You have as much options in the world as you want based on how you wanna wire it. more

Kevin So this RV charging center is gonna be a great way to power your electronics, charge your phone, run any 12 volt appliance that you have, maybe you have a Furrion or a Voyager RV camera system and you've set it up to be wired for observation and you want to use your monitor inside of your RV or your camper. So this is an inverter that plugs right into your 12 volt outlet inside your vehicle, and it creates power that can be used with your other electronic systems that can't normally be used with your cup. So this creates two USB outlets, as well as 115 volt outlet which can be used with 110 appliances and then you can just stick this right inside your cup holder. So this is a great travel blanket to keep inside your vehicle for different situations. One could be maybe you're in an emergency situation, your car breaks down, you can still run this off of your 12 volt battery, that way you can stay warm until help arrives. Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit here on a 2019 Buick Envision. So our 12 Volt Outlet Kit is gonna be required when we're using a portable braking system on our flat towed vehicle. Now a portable braking system is one such as the Blue Ox Patriot. It's gonna sit inside the driver foot well there and press on the pedal, using bracing from the back of the seat. And the reason we need a 12 Volt outlet kit for this braking system, is that the 12 Volt outlet in the center console there of the vehicle, is actually not powered while it's in tow mode. So I'm sure you've probably looked in there, found that and wondering why you need this kit if you could just simply plug your braking system into that. more
