Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Reese Hitch-Mounted Cargo Carrier and we're gonna see how it fits in the back of our 2024 Honda CR-V. Whether you're looking to carry extra stuff with you or just get some messy stuff from the inside of your CR-V out, a cargo carrier is a great way to do that, especially one that's hitch mounted because one, they're generally a bit bigger and easier to reach, but two, generally better weight capacities than something putting on the roof. And this option from Reese is gonna be a pretty basic one. So I think this is gonna be ideal for the person that's not using their cargo carrier all the time. It's more of a special occasion-type thing, whether you're going out of town to visit some family and just need to carry some extra stuff with you. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. And today we're gonna be taking a look at the etrailer hitch-mounted cargo carrier and we're gonna see how it fits on the back of our 2024 Honda CR-V. Now whether you're running short on space on the inside of your CR-V and you're taking a road trip and you need somewhere to put everyone's luggage or camp supplies, or maybe you're just going to the hardware store, picking up bags of mulch, concrete, soil, things that tend to rip and make a mess inside the vehicle, in my opinion, are better kept outside because this is a lot easier to clean off than vacuuming out the carpet inside the cargo area. Regardless of what the reason is, a cargo carrier is a great way to just expand the space that your vehicle has. And I like the hitch-mounted carriers because, one, you're gonna get better weight capacity, and two, they're easier to reach than something on the roof. Now the weight capacity here is gonna be 500 pounds evenly distributed throughout the carrier. more

Now, in general, cargo carriers are a great way to expand the cargo space of your vehicle. If your CR-V doesn't have enough room inside, you can always add to it on the hitch, or let's say you've got messy stuff that you never wanna bring inside the vehicle to begin with. Think like trips to the hardware store, bags of mulch, concrete, things that tend to rip and make a mess. It's a lot easier to keep it out here, and by attaching to the hitch, it's gonna be easier to reach, and generally give you much better weight capacities than something like a rooftop carrier. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2023 Honda CR-V. Adding a hitch to your CR-V is a great way to really make the vehicle do whatever life throws at you, whether it be a bike rack, cargo carriers for vacation, or even a ball mount to move some trailers. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your CR-V. And it's a really nice look because it's a hidden cross tube, meaning the only thing that you're gonna see visible is gonna be the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Yakima EXO system. And we're gonna take a look at some of the accessories here on our 2022 Honda CR-V. The EXO system is interesting. It's a modular system where you can mix and match different accessories. You have these knobs right over here, you have this really cool cleat system, and that way if you wanted to switch something out for, let's say, a bike rack or a ski and snowboard carrier, it's simply a matter of lifting this up, out, and then putting your brand new accessory in and fitting that into place. Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Swagman XC 2 two-bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V Now, the Swagman XC 2 is actually really popular with the CR-V owners because it's gonna be the quickest and most affordable way to get into the platform rack space. So if you have a two inch or inch and a quarter hitch receiver on your CR-V, and you want something that has a bit more stability than a hanging rack but isn't that pricey, that's where the XC 2 comes in handy. So it does a decent job at making sure your bike is steady as you drive around. It's not swinging around, but it also has its downsides like its very limited features. So that comes in so be mindful. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4 bike platform rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V. So right off the bat, you're gonna need a hitch receiver on your CR-V, a two inch hitch receiver if you wanna carry this bike rack. This is gonna be a two plus two rack, so you can quickly remove this extension if you wanna convert it back to a two bike rack or add the extension if you wanted to turn it into a four bike platform rack. It is on the heavier side. I would recommend having a friend help you out with installing it. more

Thule Epos 3 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video

Hi, Matt here with etrailer. And today, we're gonna be talking about the Thule Epos 3-Bike Rack on the back of the 2022 Honda CR-V. This is gonna be a versatile platform bike rack. As you can see here, it's capable of carrying carbon frame bikes. On the back tire, it has a strap instead of being on the frame itself, but this center mast is also capable of sliding over to the frame and being attached anywhere, so it's great for mountain bikes as well. It can also carry about 66 pounds per bike, so that's gonna be great for any of your e-bikes, for anything super heavy. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Honda CR-V- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Kuat Transfer V2 three-bike platform rack, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Honda CR-V. So the Transfer is unique because you can carry around multiple bikes, but it still has this open space in the middle to make it easier to load those bikes up. And if you have it folded up against the CR-V, you still have a lot of visibility in the back. So focusing on this bike rack with this car, first, we're going to tilt it away. So if you needed to open up your hatch and grab whatever you needed, what I do is I put the arms up to the side that way it can step into that goal post design, and then it's easier to hit that lever to bring the rack down. Unfortunately though, because the Transfer doesn't tilt down that much, if you did want to open up the hatch fully on the CR-V, we are not able to do so. more

Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt on our 2021 Honda CR-V. Now, as far as hanging-style bike racks are concerned, the FullTilt is actually one of my personal favorite options, and that's because of all the features they're able to pack inside of it that we're gonna be able to take a look at as the video goes on. But, the first thing we wanna make sure we know is what kind of bikes can we carry. Well, the FullTilt's main point of contact is going to be on our frame, so that means, unfortunately, our carbon frame bikes are not going to be an option for this. If you do have an alternative frame bike, though, and do get a bike adapter bar, we are able to accommodate for those, as well as kids' bikes. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Honda CR-V- Video

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2018 Honda CR-V, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver. Before we get into that though, let's just take a couple of minutes, check this out and make sure it's gonna be the right hitch for you. Something I do wanna address right off the bat, it seems like a lot of people are curious about is if by putting a hitch on here, is it gonna mess with your hands free lift gate assist feature, if you happen to have that, if your vehicle's equipped with it And unfortunately today, our model does not have it so I can't actually show it but I do know from past experience, it will still work. It seems like works for a lot of other people as well. You'll just have to kick your foot to either side of the receiver tube opening and take a little practice, find that sweet spot but you can get it to open up. more
