The 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 is a very capable vehicle, but when it comes to winter weather, if you're looking for an easy set of change just to give you an extra bit of traction and some really mild winter weather conditions or just something to keep in the back to keep you legal in your state, then I think the Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains could be a good fit for you. And we're gonna be taking a look and installing them today on our tire size 275/65-20. You've got this cable that runs around the perimeter of the tire and it's gonna be the same thing that goes across the tire too. But we've got these rollers that will be over top and that's gonna be the thing that gives us a bit of a race profile here and helps us get that extra traction going through snow. Now the rollers will be rounded, so not super aggressive, not very high profile, and it's going to just be a little something extra. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Airbags. These air helper springs are more commonly known as airbags are going to mount between the frame of your vehicle and the top of your axle. And what they're designed to do is they will help to support the rear end of your truck when hauling a heavy load in the bed or on the hitch. These air helper strings are going to have a load carrying capacity of 5,000 pounds and a PSI rating of a maximum of 100 PSI. Now these specific airbags are going to be able to, you can air them down to zero because they have an internal jounce bumper. more

Adding air helper springs to the back of your vehicle is gonna allow you to help to bring up the back end of the vehicle whenever you're hauling a heavy load in the bed of your truck or behind it on the hitch. This is what our airbags are gonna look like when they're installed. You're gonna have a double convoluted design, which essentially means that there's gonna be two bubbles instead of one big one. And separating that in the middle is going to be a very strong steel band. more

B and W Custom Installation Kit with Base Rails Installation - 2022 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the B&W Above Bed Rails. If you're used to that traditional style of fifth wheel attachment, that's gonna be these industry standard rails. And by industry standard we mean that the distance between the three sets of holes is going to be an industry standard, so it's going to fit a lot of different fifth wheel heads out there, our fifth wheel hitches out there, so if you already have a fifth wheel hitch, or if you're looking at fifth wheel hitches, most likely it's going to fit into these rails. Another point I'd like to make is if you like that way of attachment or if for some reason you have a Reese Sidewinder on the front of your camper, you are gonna have to have industry standard rails because of the way that they attach, it's much stronger than a lot of other attachment points. With these rails, you can also get adapter plates for goosenecks if you want to be able to haul gooseneck trailers but you can't decide between a gooseneck hitch and rails like this to be able to haul a fifth wheel trailer, you don't have to decide. more

B and W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2022 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about our B&W Patriot Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch on the back of our 2022 GMC Sierra 2500. Now this will be a great option for you if you are trying to haul and anything behind you and you have a short bed, because what that sliding 5th wheel is gonna do for you is when you are making those sharper turns, whether in a really tight neighborhood or when you are backing up into a campsite, this is gonna help keep that load behind you from making contact with your cab. So the scenario to think about is maybe you've reached your campsite and you need to back your camper up into the spot you found, and it's a little bit tight and you're at more of a jackknife position, so we're gonna probably have to push this slider back some so we can make that turn. So what we're gonna do is just reach over here and just throw this handle. Now if you are having issues reaching this, which is not too bad to reach, I find it pretty fine. But if you do find issues, what I recommend is just using your tire, step it up, and flipping that real quick. more

Today we have a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you some of the cool features on the B&W Companion Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for our OEM GM puck system. This sliding 5th wheel hitch is designed for trucks with a 6-3/4' foot bed. And the reason for that is that when you're going to make tighter turns with campers, when you have a 5th wheel camper, the nose is gonna be somewhere in this general vicinity. And if you don't have that longer bed with the extra, you know, foot and a half space up at the front, you're gonna have issues with the front of the nose of the camper making contact with your truck. That is where this sliding feature on this hitch comes into play. more

So right away, the Companion, this is gonna be designed to work with the B&W Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitches. And there's a couple of reasons that I can think of why you'd want to use the Companion over the standard type fifth wheel head that uses the traditional type rails. And one of them is that you have a couple of different types of trailers. So if you have a gooseneck and a fifth wheel, having the gooseneck hitch allow you to pull that trailer, and then by picking up the Companion, it'll let you drop this fifth wheel right into that gooseneck hitch and hook up to your fifth wheel trailer. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat IBEX Truck Bed Rack and seeing how it fits on our 2016 GMC Sierra 2500. So the IBEX is going to be somewhat adjustable giving you in the initial setup process when you get it out of the box, two height settings, the low profile which we have it in here, or the regular height which would be pretty much level with the roof of your vehicle. Personally on this truck, I don't love the low profile look. If you're going to be mounting up something like a tent it is a little bit more helpful to have it closer to the ground, but you are gonna be doing things like sacrificing that back window quite a bit and it just makes it harder to access your truck bed underneath. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 Standard Cab and we're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the Westin PRO TRAXX Running Boards. This is gonna be an oval style running board with a large foot plate here on the top. The foot plate and the tube itself will be about 4 inches wide. Now I've got a size 13 boot and you can see here it is more than enough space to be able to fit my foot on there. The only thing that concerns me about this particular set is that they do sit quite a bit underneath the truck itself. more

Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System Installation - 2024 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we have a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Air Lift WirelessOne EZ Mount Compressor. This compressor is gonna be designed to help inflate and deflate your airbag so that you don't have to find an air compressor or use a bike pump in order to adjust them. It'll come with a remote with at a click of a button you can inflate and deflate your airbags. This air compressor will have a 100 PSI rating, so it can air your airbags up to 100 PSI. I will say with my experience with airbags, the compressor works pretty fast on the lower end of the spectrum, but once you get past I'd say probably 45 or 50 PSI, it's going to take much longer to get to a higher rating. more

Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 GMC Sierra 2500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs over the rear axle, but before we get into that, let's take a minute, check these out and make sure they're gonna work for you. So what an airbag is going to do is provide your truck with additional support here in the back. And whenever you're hooked up to a real heavy trailer or got a bunch of weight in the bed of your truck, what tends to happen is a truck squats down and kind of gives you a poor ride. It's not ideal to drive around like that. Your suspension's getting overworked, or your ride quality is poor and things of that nature, and so with air spring back here, it's gonna give you that extra support to get the truck level again, and in general, just improve your overall ride quality and help prolong the life of all your factory suspension components. more

A prime example of why you should get a set of airbags is right behind us. We have a truck here that tows a fifth-wheel camper and the pin weight on it is about 2,000 pounds. That is a lot of weight pushing down on the bed of this truck. So adding a set of airbags, they will sit in between the axle of your truck in the frame and they're designed to take some of the weight so that your vehicle suspension doesn't have to do all the work. more

Now, a lot of people ask what is the main purpose of adding a set of airbags or air helper springs like we have here to your vehicle And essentially what they're designed to do is they're designed to help take some of the load. As you can see here, we have about between 15 and 1600 pounds in the bed of our truck. And before we had airbags, we had about 2 1/2 inches of squat. This is gonna be great because it utilizes the existing underbed kit from your gooseneck and allows you to just drop this whole assembly in place aside from the initial setup but it gets you that opportunity to tow it and do it really easily. more

Curt CrossWing Lightweight Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Adapter Installation - 2022 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Curt CrossWing Gooseneck to 5th wheel trailer hitch adapter and then seeing how it fits on this 2022 GMC Sierra 2500. Now there's going to be a couple things that make this system so unique. For one, the Curt CrossWing is a very new take on the 5th wheel hitch. It's very lightweight, much smaller and more compact than a traditional 5th wheel would be. So getting it in and out of the truck bed is very easy doing it on your own because it only weighs about 70 pounds. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2020 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Timbren Severe Service Suspension Enhancement for your rear axle on a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500. Now this is how it's going to sit when it's installed and this one is a press in style. Now these just simply replace your factory jounce bumpers, and yours may be a bolt in application but all of these are gonna be no drill. They just simply take out your factory jounce and add this height and they're all gonna live about an inch above the rear axle. And what that means is you're gonna get this to initiate a lot quicker. So minimal amounts of sag is gonna push this against the rear axle and this is gonna start working, whereas before your factory jounce bumper clearly is quite a bit shorter and there's a lot of sagging that's gonna have to happen before it starts working. more

B and W Custom Installation Kit with Base Rails Installation - 2020 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the B&W rail system for a fifth wheel hitch on a 2020 GMC Sierra 2,500. Now this is gonna be a great way to add a fifth wheel hitch to your vehicle and this is gonna use the standard rail system, so it's gonna accept a bunch of different fifth wheel hitches. And our neighbor today, they're using a Patriot from B&W, which I highly recommend. It's an awesome fifth wheel hitch that's a slider. So for a regular six and a half foot bed, that's gonna work really well without having to worry about hitting those cab corners. more

B and W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the BMW Patriot sliding fifth wheel on a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500. Now this is a particularly great option for this truck in particular because it's a six and a half foot bed. This is a sliding fifth wheel, so if you've ever pulled a fifth wheel with a short bed, you do kinda have to worry about cab clearance, especially with your campers. If you cut too hard, it's gonna smack the side of your truck and damage it in the process. And the great part about this is you can slide this super easy. Just lift that handle, push this back, and it's gonna lock in place. more

Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness Installation - 2020 GMC Sierra 2500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Curt custom fit gooseneck and fifth wheel in bed wire harness extension on a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500. Now our customer just added rails and a fifth wheel BMW Patriot in the back of his truck. And when hooking up to his RV, having to plug in and wrap it over the tailgate can kind of be cumbersome. So if you can have your wiring right here in bed it makes it a lot easier to hook up and it keeps your wires nice and tucked in. So if you've ever noticed what this plug cover is on the bed of your truck, this is just a dummy plate but the Curt kit actually fits perfectly in here and you can see it looks just like factory. It fits that hole perfectly. more
