RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline right here at etrailer, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at how the RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Out Bike Rack fits on the 2021 Dodge Durango. So the AfterParty is gonna be a dual-wheel mount rack with a high weight capacity for heavy electric bikes. It's pretty much the same as the RockyMounts Guide Rail, but it has an extra feature which is that this can swing out towards the passenger side. Now some things on the Durango, especially with this hitch receiver, is that this is gonna have a lot of height compared to other bike racks. So if you do have a 60-pound bike, that's something you have to consider is that you have to lift that up and onto this rack. more

Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey there, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Inno Tire Hold HD two bike platform rack for your heavy electric bikes and we'll see how it fits here on our 2021 Dodge Durango. So the HD is gonna be really good for those heavy bikes with a weight capacity of 80 pounds per bike. Awesome, very impressive. Now for a Durango though, there are some things you're gonna have to consider with this vehicle. The first one is that it's gonna be really high up off the ground, so I highly recommend grabbing the Inno Tire Hold ramp that's sold separately, add-on accessory that instead of having to lift the bikes up and onto the rack, you can then just ramp them down. The second thing is that your tilt away functions you do lose out on with this car. more

Adding a 2 inch hitch receiver is gonna allow you to do a few different things. You can use it with accessories like a cargo carrier or a bike rack. You can take those bikes to and from the trailer, you can get some of the cargo outta your Durango and put it on a carrier, like bulkier items, like a cooler, or big luggage bags. Curt Powered Tail Light Converter Installation - 2023 Dodge Hornet- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look and installing the Curt universal four-pole trailer wiring harness on a 2023 Dodge Hornet. If you have a hitch on your Hornet, or if you ever plan on pulling a trailer, I highly recommend picking up four-pole trailer wiring. Even if you don't plan on pulling anything, it's really nice to be able to have this here just in case, maybe you move a little utility trailer, whatever it may be, you'll be able to get those light functions working, keeping you safe and legal, and the way this works, you'll have your four-pole plug that can live here with the dust cap on your hitch, and you'll just plug that into the trailer whenever you're ready to go, but this ties into your factory light signals, so you're gonna get that running light, turn signal, and brake light. Now this system is fuse-protected, as well as module-protected, so even though you're tying into your factory taillights, you don't really have to worry too much about it causing any issues long-term, and this is a universal kit, meaning, we're gonna be quick-splicing into some of those connections, which, you don't have to be a wiring guru to do. It's pretty straightforward. You are gonna need to run a power wire underneath the vehicle up to the battery, which can get a little bit tricky, but, honestly, I think that's the hardest part. more

Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Dodge Hornet- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver on our 2023 Dodge Hornet. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and the great part is it's a hidden cross tube, meaning the only thing that you're gonna see visible is gonna be the receiver tube opening and that gives you a nice clean look, but all the usability of your hitch. Now this is a 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great. It's kind of the standard size for hitches. So when it comes to bike racks, ball mounts, or cargo carriers, you're gonna have tons of options available. Now, all of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Inno roof rack system with the flush-mounted crossbars on our 2022 Dodge Durango. Now, when I say flush-mounted, what I mean by that is that the crossbar, that piece up top that we're gonna attach our accessories to, ends inside the foot pack here, meaning that nothing overhangs off the side of the vehicle. A lot of people prefer this style because it is a little bit more clean and custom looking. Yakima FullTilt 5 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima FullTilt Bike Rack on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. One of the main features that sets this hanging style bike rack from the other ones is it has the potential to carry five bikes at one time, each at 40 pounds and a maximum of 150 pounds. And since it makes contact with the bike rack, it's not gonna be compatible with carbon frame bike racks or alternative frame bike racks. And since its weight capacity is only 40 pounds, it will not be compatible with e-bikes either. Now if you do have an alternative style bike or a child's bike, we do have these adapter bars that make them compatible with the hanging frames. You do have these adjustable clips that keep your bikes in place. more

Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi Matt here with the etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. This rack is capable of holding four bikes, 35 pounds each, has three straps, one on each tire and one on the frame. This is gonna prevent it from being carbon frame friendly, and it's not gonna be E-bike friendly either. Something we did notice about this bike rack is when we had our bike in this first spot here, the handle bars actually made contact with the back of the windshield, just barely, so we decided to move it on to this second rack here. And this is about a 29 inch handlebar length, so if you do have any bikes that are 29 and longer, I'd keep 'em on the third, the second rack and up. Now if you have any ones that have shorter lengths, I'd say they would fit here. more

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi Matt here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Kuat NV Base on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. Since our Kuat NV Base is a premium bike rack, it has the ability to tilt back. So all we'll have to do is press down on this lever and let it tilt back, kind of cradling the back end. Now we'll have access to our back hatch. Now keep in mind that we do have 29" handlebars, and that barely makes clearance. So if you have anything wider, I'd definitely put that on the other rack back here. more

Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Mel with the Etrailer here. Today we're gonna be talking about the Konig XG-12 Pro self-tensioning tire chains on a 2022 Dodge Durango. Some points to look at for these chains are they're gonna last a long time since they made out of that alloy steel. They're gonna be very versatile since they're the square chains and they're diamond-shaped so they can go in a lot of different conditions, and they've got that self-tensioning to them as well. If we look at these individual chain links, they're gonna be square-shaped, and that's gonna give us the ability to really tear through that snow and ice, so they're gonna give us better traction. Hi, Matt here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This is a platform-style bike rack capable of holding two bikes, 35 pounds each, has three points of contact, one on each tire, and one in the center on the frame. What this means, is it's not gonna be e-bike friendly, because it won't be able to hold that much weight, or it won't be carbon frame friendly, because it's attached directly to the frame. A neat function with this bike rack as well, is gonna be this padded strap. So what's nice about this, is it rotates and adjusts up and down. So overall, that's gonna be really nice for if you have an alternative frame bike, it's gonna fit even kid bikes as well. more

And today, we have the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier that's 60 inches by 22 inches, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. So right off the bat, if you need a lot of cargo space, but you don't wanna have to deal with a lot of weight, this is gonna be a great cargo carrier for that. This is gonna be one of our larger aluminum cargo carriers, so with you having all that space, because it's made of aluminum, it's also lighter and easier to install. But depending on how you install it though, it might be a little tricky, because the Dodge Grand Caravan has a bumper that sticks out over here, so you're gonna have to like reach around the carrier to get into place and make sure that all that is tightened down. So that is something to be mindful of. more

This carrier can support about 400 pounds which is a little bit less than some of our other options. So when I stand up here trying to stand in the center not on the mesh itself, the vehicle kind of goes down a little bit, but not too much. So I think it's gonna perform pretty well with this cargo carrier. Flint Hill Goods Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi Matt here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about our Flint Hills good aluminum cargo carrier on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. As for the capabilities of this cargo carrier, it's about a medium sized cargo carrier that can handle about 500 pounds. So if I get in the back of it, I'm about 250 pounds, just under, and the vehicle barely shifts down, so the vehicle handles it very nicely as well. As for putting anything inside the cargo carrier, the walls are pretty short on it, they're pretty shallow, so this would be a great cargo carrier for anything like bags or anything that might kind of spill over just a little bit. As for the dimensions, it's gonna be about 48 inches in an interior of the width, just over 21 inches for the length, and then on the bottom here we have just under 12 inches. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Basket on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This roof basket can carry about 165 pounds, but keep in mind your own capabilities for your own roof. So your own roof might not be able to carry that much weight. And then also think about the weight of the roof rack as well, 'cause that's gonna count towards your own roof's weight limit. Also the total height we have right now is gonna give you almost an additional 10 inches above your roof. So keep that in mind if you're going anywhere with a low clearance, especially if you're gonna have anything in here as well. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2022 Dodge Durango FHG27ZR- Video
Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This medium-sized cargo carrier is gonna be able to handle 500 pounds. So that's perfect if you have anything heavy you wanna keep outside your vehicle and not inside the back. If I get inside of it, you can see I'm just under 250 pounds, and that's handling pretty well. Now, if we look at the dimensions of it, the width is gonna be about 47 1/4 inches, and the length is gonna be about 20 1/2 inches, depth just under six inches. As for tie down, tying anything down, now, really, we have a lot of spots that work great for that, you know, like even this aluminum is still gonna be, is still really sturdy. more

Our two main points of contact are going to be these ratcheting lever arms, one for the front tire and one for the back tire. And what those two things basically mean together is that our heavier electric E-bikes, our carbon frame bikes and our alternative frame bikes are all going to work with this platform, which is really nice that we can carry a big variety of bikes that cannot only help suit your car but also whatever bike that you have. The GuideRail does also have a tilt away feature where we're just going to pull the lever located at the bottom of the rack and then slowly tilt it down allowing us that full hatch access. more

So if you have smelly sports equipment or dirty equipment you can put out here, leave the mess in the cargo carrier not inside the Durango. This cargo carrier is gonna be made out of aluminum so that means it's really lightweight. more

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Flint Hill Goods cargo carrier on our 2018 Dodge Durango. Cargo carrier's a great way to carry that extra stuff you don't have room for inside the vehicle, or stuff you don't want inside. You see I got this cooler to give you a sense of how much space you actually have in the cargo carrier, but maybe you could put some sports equipment back here, muddy or snowy gear that you don't want to make a mess on the inside of your Durango. Much easier to clean this cargo carrier out than the inside. So if you get dirt or mud on there, you can just spray it off the hose, or it falls through here and it's not a problem. more

Husky Liners WeatherBeater Custom Cargo Liner Review - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey, everybody. Cooper here at etrailer, and today on our 2021 Dodge Durango, we're going to be taking a look at the Husky Liners weather beater custom cargo liner here at etrailer. With our custom cargo liner here, we are going to be sacrificing the third row of our Durango, and as you can see, there's a little bit of warping still, just the memory from being in the box, but once that all evens out you can tell that we have great contour amongst our vehicle, all the different sorts of ridges and even this place for those back seat belts still. So this fits very, very well, and it leaves no doubt in my mind that is going to catch all the dirt, grime, spills, anything that would happen in this backseat. We do have the channels throughout the whole entire piece, which is one big, solid piece means it's going to help catch those things in these channels a lot better. Just keeping our items on that more elevated surface while any of the dirt, grime or spills coming out kind of funnel down into these channels making it a lot easier to clean. more

Hollywood Racks Destination 2 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video

We are going to have a platform-style bike rack able to hold up to two bikes. Individually rated for that impressive 70 pounds each. So our heavier e-bikes like the one we have on here today are going to be an option for it. We are making that frame contact, so while alternative frame bikes might be able to squeeze in, unfortunately our carbon frame bikes are not going to be an option. Swagman Skaha 2 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman Skaha 2 on our 2021 Dodge Durango. The Skaha 2 is going to be a platform style bike rack able to hold two bikes, individually weight rated for 60 pounds each, which means that our heavier e-bikes are going to be an option for this. Our two main points of contact are gonna be first, our hook on our front wheel, and then a strap for our back wheel meaning we're not making any frame contact. So our alternative frame bikes as well as those carbon frame bikes are gonna be an option for this bike rack too. One of the nice things about the Skaha 2 is it does offer a tilt away function. more

Hollywood Racks RV Rider 2 Bike Rack Review - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks RV Rider on our 2021 Dodge Durango. This rack is going to be a platform style bike rack able to accommodate up to two bikes individually rated for 80 pounds each, which means that our heavier electric e-bikes are definitely going to be an option with this. We are, however, making contact on our center mast as our main point of contact here. So our carbon frame bikes might not be able to fit on this rack, but the ability to slip our knob and have this go up and down the mast definitely means that our alternative frame bikes are going to find a home on this. Now while our rack does come with a tilt away feature, unfortunately that tilt is not aggressive enough to clear the back hatch on our Durango. more

WeatherTech 2nd Row Rear Auto Floor Mat Installation - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey, everybody. Cooper here at etrailer. And today we're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech second row floor mat on our 2021 Dodge Durango. Now to start the installation process, if you have any floor mats on your back row just go ahead, get them, take them out, maybe vacuum under it, the area where this is going to sit. Now to help make room to install these we are going to go ahead and take our front seats and push them forward just to help give us a little additional space as we kind of wiggle this guy down, helping form fit it around our vehicle. (floor mat rustling) As we kind of push it down into place around some of our areas, we can see that it is going to be a nice tight fit for our vehicle. more

WeatherTech Cargo Liner Installation - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey, everybody. Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech cargo liner on our 2021 Dodge Durango. Now, some uses for something like this on our back hatch is going to be if you have any type of camping gear, maybe shoes after a bike or a jog or if you're maybe even going to the store and picking up something like a bag of mulch or some fertilizer, just anything we don't want spilling and soaking into that material of our car. Having this mat on top, which is going to be much easier to vacuum or even remove from the car and shake out that debris is going to be very nice. Taking a look at the mat, we can see that we do have these ridges and channels still here where the idea is more so that we will have our items up here on the ridges and any dirt, grime or spills will fall nicely into these channels, making it a lot easier to clean up. more

WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats Installation - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, everybody, Cooper here at Etrailer. And today, we're going to be taking a look at our WeatherTech front auto floor mats on our 2021 Dodge Durango. To help prep for our installation, it is a good idea to go ahead and take out any preexisting floor mats you may have, vacuum down that area, and move your front seats as far back as they can go just to give us enough space to be able to wiggle these floor mats in. We can tell as well that, unlike some other WeatherTechs, that ours are going to come with these snap-in positionings, which hopefully will line up with our factory setting to go ahead and just snap down into place. We'll start with our driver's side, we're going to go ahead and try to go under our pedals first, just 'cause that's the easiest way. Line up our anchor points with our factory setting knobs, and then just go ahead and snap these down into place. more

WeatherTech HP Front Auto Floor Mats High Wall Design Installation - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey everybody. Cooper here at e-trailer and today we're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech HP front floor mats on our 2021 Dodge Durango. Now, before we get these installed, a couple things that'll help our process along is if you already have front floor mats, go ahead and take those out and remove them. Go ahead and vacuum out your front seats and move your front seats as far back as you can just to help give yourself a little wiggle room when installing these. Before we install our floor mats, we did just wanna point out that we do have two anchor points which are going to snap down into our vehicle to help give 'em a nice firm fit as well as these anti skid nibs, which are just going to also help keep our floor mats in place. But we're gonna go ahead and turn that around. more

Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey, everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at our Titan Chain Diamond Pattern Assisted Tensioning Snow Tire Chains on our 2021 Dodge Durango using tire size 265/50R20. Make sure you use our Fit Guide here at etrailer to make sure that you have the correct tire size for your tire chains, as well as checking your User Manual to make sure you are installing them on the correct axle. If you live in an area that gets a lot of ice and snow, these tire chains are gonna be an excellent option for you. Not only do they sit really low profile, but they fit really well within our limited wheel well clearance. They have this diamond-shaped pattern, which gives you a lot more coverage over your wheel and will help you with that side-to-side motion driving in the ice and snow. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2021 Dodge Durango. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and it is an exposed cross tube, so it hangs down a little bit here, and you can see the portion of the hitch, but overall it looks pretty clean. And this one, being a 2" by 2" receiver tube opening means that you're gonna have tons of options whether you're using it for bike racks, cargo carriers, a ball mount, or really any accessory that you want to load up. Now, any of those accessories are gonna stay in place with a 5/8" pin and clip. Now this doesn't come with the hitch. A lot of your accessories when you pick 'em up will have those included, but if you wanna pick up an extra or a locking version, we have plenty of those here at etrailer. more

Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2021 Dodge Durango- Video
Cooper here at etrailer and today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig XG-12 Pro Tire Chains on our 2021 Dodge Durango using tire size 265/50-20. Make sure that you use our fit guide here at etrailer to make sure that you're getting the right size tire chains for your right size tires. Additionally, for this car specifically, we are installing them on the rear axle so make sure you go ahead and check your user's manual to see which axle that they recommend you installing your tire chains on. Our tire chains here are gonna have this diamond pattern which is going to get us a lot more coverage across our wheel compared to something like a laddered pattern. Which the ladder pattern really just helps with that starting and stopping, it has a little bit rougher riding than our diamond pattern, which is going to help a lot more with our side to side motions. Taking a little bit closer look into our chains, we can see that they're made of these square links. more
