Hellwig Adjustable Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2023 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Hellwig rear sway bar on a 2023 Toyota Tacoma. Tacoma's are pretty comfortable trucks to drive normally and just kind of daily driving it, you're not gonna get a ton of sway in the vehicle just with factory suspension. You'll have a little bit, but nothing that really constitutes any suspension enhancements but ours today, we can have this set up for over landing. So we have a ladder rack back there. It's gonna be loaded up with a rooftop tent and that's where we're really gonna get that top heavy feel. So as you go around corners with all that added weight, the truck's gonna wanna sway side to side and that's where adding a rear sway bar comes into play. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2024 Toyota Camry- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the CURT Class 1 trailer hitch receiver on a 2024 Toyota Camry. Camrys are some of the best, most reliable sedans you can find out on the road, but when it comes to maybe doing some explorations or adding to your adventures, maybe it's not the most suited, but that's not to stop you from being able to have a bike rack, cargo carrier, or even towing a small trailer with it. Your other options include having a roof rack on your vehicle to be able to put that cargo rack or a bike rack and that's not a bad option. I've gone that route on my car and then I finally ended up going with an inch and a quarter hitch. And that was all that was available for my vehicle. And that's kind of the case with this, but not to worry, it's really nice to have that hitch because I've used it for many different things, not just my bike rack. more

etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation- 2024 Toyota RAV4- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and you can see, or not see, the fact that the cross tube is hidden, so you get a nice clean look of not seeing the entire hitch and only having the receiver tube opening down. So that's the benefits of having the hitch but still maintaining a nice clean look. And the etrailer hitch, I really like, because it's got the matte black powder coat finish, so it gives it a little bit stealthier look. It kind of blends in with some of the black plastic, and overall it holds up a little bit better than the gloss paint chips and scratches. Now, this is a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great when it comes to choosing accessories, bike racks, cargo carriers, or even ball mounts for towing a trailer. more

If you have a hitch on your RAV4, it might be worthwhile picking up 4-pole trailer wiring harness. That way if you ever need to pull a trailer or in the situation where it'd be nice to, you'll have this ready to go. And this is gonna give you your light functions on your trailers, which include your running lights, your turn signals and brake lights. And this is a pretty easy installation. It plugs into factory style plugs and just kind of tees in to get those light signals. more

And today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the ADARAC Aluminum Series custom truck bed ladder rack on the back of our 2023 Toyota Tacoma. Now when it comes to ladder racks, there's probably two routes that you're maybe going with this. You're either using this on the work side of things where you're carrying lumber, ladders, conduit, longer items that maybe don't fit very well in the truck bed so it's easier to put it up above the bed, where it can extend over the cab a bit. Or maybe it's more on the sports and rec side, where you plan on carrying kayaks, which, again, maybe don't fit in the bed super well. Or you'll mount something like a rooftop tent up here, where you can camp out of it and take it on some adventures while still having all of your storage in the bed underneath. more

Timbren Suspension Enhancement System Spacer Kit Installation - 2022 Toyota Tundra- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Timbren rear spacer kit for the rear suspension enhancement on a 2022 Toyota Tundra. Now, these are gonna be a great addition if you've lifted your truck, have aftermarket suspension, or you want your Timbrens to engage quicker and reducing the amount of sag that your truck has while under load. If you've added Timbrens to your Tundra or you're planning on adding Timbrens, something that you're gonna want to consider is closing up the gap that this still has. Now, the factory downs bumper, it's kind of a laughable at how much of a gap it takes for it to close down and finally bottom out. And that's gonna really translate to a truck that sags quite a bit. And the Timbrens do a really good job of reducing that, and that's gonna give you a ton of different benefits across the board, whether it be handling, sway control, having better steering feel, better braking, and overall just less wear and tear on your suspension. more

Diode Dynamics SS3 Sport LED Ditch Lights Installation - 2023 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Hello neighbor, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Diode Dynamics Stage Series Backlit Ditch Kit, specifically for 2016 to 2023 Toyota Tacomas. Now as far as light configurations, there's a few different options available, today, we have the SS3 Sports in yellow. This kit is going to allow you to mount up ditch lights on your Tacoma using the factory hood hinge spots. The bracket is really well designed and it's all made out of stainless steel, so it's gonna hold up long term on the elements and there's no clearance issues when you open up the hood or close it. It's gonna work with your SS3 like we have here today or your SSC2s. Now from there, there are quite a few different light configurations you can look at, whether it be for color or if you need to go to a brighter light, you can look at the Pro, where we have the Sport, which is still tons of light that it outputs. more

Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System Installation - 2023 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Hello neighbor, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Airlift WirelessONE EZ Mount Air Compressor with Bluetooth capabilities on a 2023 Toyota Tacoma. Adding airbags to a Tacoma is definitely a great upgrade if you're doing any overlaying and you have a bunch of equipment in the back or if you're towing trailers, this is really gonna translate much better overall to be able to really support the suspension without having the truck squat down. But the downside with airbags is you have generally a manual fill valve where you have to fill that up with a compressor either at home or out on the road. You'll need either a portable compressor or stop at a gas station and you can eliminate all of that by getting on onboard air, and that's what we've done here with our compressor. And this system is actually really easy to put in place. If you install the airbags yourself, this is gonna be a cakewalk And a lot of that comes down to the fact that it's all super easy to not only mount up. more

Now, a lot of different 4Runners are gonna have different variations on this, and that's mainly gonna depend on what trim package you have. Now if you have the base trim package, most likely, you're probably not gonna have any wiring installed already, so that's gonna be something you're gonna have to invest in or put in yourself. more

Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2022 Toyota Tundra- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller on our 2022 Toyota Tundra. Adding a brake controller to your vehicle is gonna allow you to have additional safety and control of your trailer. And adding a wireless device like the Curt Echo is gonna allow you to have that control without having to manually wire anything into the system. The traditional box-style brake controller, you know, has the nickname knee-knocker 'cause they're usually mounted in that position where it would interfere with where your leg clearance is. Alternatively, we have some that are gonna be minimally invasive, like the REDARC where it's just a knob on your dash, but that installation does require a little bit more and it is permanent. So if you have multiple trailers or trucks or you have a leased truck where you can't make those permanent changes, the Curt Echo is gonna be a great option to allow you to have brakes on your trailer and control it using your Bluetooth device. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer and today, we're talking about the Tekonsha T-One Four Pole Wiring Harness on our 2015 Toyota 4Runner. Now what this is gonna allow you to do is use your existing seven pole wiring and hook this four pole wiring to it so you have the ability to not only use a seven pole, but also a four pole wiring. So let's check it out. A reason why you might need a four pole wiring is if you have any accessories or trailers that only use four pole wiring because it is still a very common system to use. Now, this isn't gonna limit you to just using four pole, you'll still have ability to use the seven pole tube. I recommend just making sure that you know what your 4Runner has because there are plenty of different trim packages for the 4Runner and each one of them has different wiring kits already installed on them. more

Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs Installation - 2023 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 rear helper springs on a 2023 Toyota Tacoma. Now this is what your airbags are gonna look like when they're installed on your Tacoma. And before, there's a very small jounce bumper that sits pretty low, and really for this to bottom out, it's gonna take a lot of squishing to do that, and that's what the bump stops or jounce bumpers are there for, so it doesn't bottom out the suspension. But the problem is leading up to that means that the shocks are gonna really compress. And a lot of times if you're either towing a trailer or have a heavy load in the back of the truck, that means the suspension's gonna be squatted, and that transmits quite a bit of issues, not only on the suspension being overloaded and not having that full stroke, but also it is gonna mess with the front of the vehicle too. So that's gonna come down to steering feel. more

Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket Installation - 2022 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Warriors, come out and play. Check out the Yakima SkinnyWarrior Rooftop Basket on the top of our 2022 Toyota Tundra. Adding a rooftop basket to your ladder rack system is gonna allow you to make use of the negative space on the back of your Tundra. So with this guy being a thin SkinnyWarrior, it's gonna allow you to get one basket on one side and freeing up the other side of your ladder rack for other items. So if you have a bike carrier, cargo box, or a kayak carrier, you'd be able to use both at the same time. The SkinnyWarrior has an included Yakima fairing on the front that's gonna help reduce the wind resistance and wind noise that you would get for rooftop accessories. more

Gate King Adjustable Truck Bed Extender Installation - 2023 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today, we're taking a look and installing the Gate King Tailgate Extender on a 2023 Toyota Tacoma. And this is gonna allow you to get your tailgate in multiple different spots and that way you can really get it custom fit to whatever you have in your bed. (tailgate clicking) And the great part is, is whenever you need to close it up, (tailgate clicking) it goes back to being a normal tailgate, so let's first take a look at why you might want one. If you haul an ATV or a dirt bike in your truck, sometimes you're gonna realize that maybe the truck bed isn't long enough to account for that, or if you're doing any household projects, you got a ladder or two by fours, whatever it may be, a lot of times you're gonna have that shooting up over the tailgate, which is totally fine, but if you have a camper shell or a tonneau cover, you can run into some issues there and that's where having a little bit of adjustability from the tailgate is gonna allow for that to drop down low enough to still be able to maintain that tonneau cover. We're gonna be putting a mid-height ladder rack on here and that really could be an issue with some taller or larger things, so having that tailgate to be able to drop down to really account for that is gonna be huge. And this, again, is super helpful with those dirt bikes and ATVs, obviously this wasn't a dirt bike, but similar concept where we are kind of hanging off to where we don't have a tailgate really holding anything in place, so this can act slightly like a wheel chock in a sense, 'cause as you raise this up, you're gonna at least have some back pressure against that rear tire to really keep it all nice and tight in place. more

You're gonna have a seven pole plug to connect up trailers with brakes and a four pole plug to connect up trailers without brakes. Having both of these options is really nice to have on the back of your vehicle because no matter what trailer you pull up to, you're gonna be able to pull either one of them successfully, whether it's a four pole or a seven pole. Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2024 Toyota Sienna- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Toyota Sienna and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT Class 3 2 inch hitch receiver. Adding a hitch to the back of your Sienna is gonna allow you to do a couple different things. You can use it for bike racks or cargo carriers if you're wanting some more storage on the back of your vehicle, or you could do what this owner of this vehicle is gonna do and pull a small trailer. It's gonna have pretty impressive weight capacity, so you can pull trailers that have by using weight distribution or not. Speaking of weight capacities, the weight capacities for this hitch are going to be a max tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds. more

Now this is a great option for you if you're looking for something just to get your skis from point A to point B, so let's take a close look at it. They're gonna have these big buttons on 'em, which you can just press with your palm and they open right up, which is great if you have those thicker gloves or mittens on. And now to access my ski, I'm actually going to step inside my vehicle 'cause that is a far reach. Just keep in mind if it's snowy outside, be careful because you could slip and fall. Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2021 Toyota Tacoma- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Sterling all-terrain tow bar on a 2021 Toyota Tacoma. Now there's five main components that are required for flat towing any vehicle, and we'll break those down. The first one is gonna be the base plate, and that's gonna structurally mount to the frame of the vehicle, and create a mounting point not only for your tow bar, but the rest of the components. So our tow bar is going to be the connecting point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. And also going from the base plate to the hitch is gonna be our safety cable. So just like you'd hook up to a trailer, you wanna make sure you have those cables in place just in case of that disconnect. more

I'm Adam with etrailer. And today we're talking about the Yakima SkyBox NX 16 roof box on top of our 2020 Toyota Highlander. This is a great option for you if you're running outta space in the back of your car and you need to put your items somewhere else, this is a great option for you, especially if you wanna keep 'em out of the elements. The first thing we're gonna take a look at is the inside of the box. So we're gonna have to open it up using our included key and unlocking this. When I push it up, you notice it's a little stiff, but it's gonna be held in place by those hinge locks, and that's gonna allow me to keep it open without using my arms to keep it open. more
