The CURT seems to have a little bit more of a gloss finish to it, so if you're more apt to put a matte finish on your vehicle opposed to the gloss, you'll wanna look at the etrailer option opposed to CURT. Swagman XC2 Bike Rack Review - 2024 Hyundai Tucson- Video

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Swagman E-SPEC Bike Carrier on our 2024 Hyundai Tucson. The E-SPEC is a frame-mounted bike carrier, so your padded hook is gonna make contact with your top tube. If you have a carbon fiber bike or a bike with a nice paint job where you didn't want to have contact, or even a unconventional bike like a step through, this may not be the best option for you right out the gate. You're also secured using cradles on the front and rear that strap into place to stabilize your bike to the back of the vehicle. The E-SPEC has locking handles as far as your hooks that mount to your bike, so that's another cool thing that's gonna keep everything nice and secure. Let's take our bike off of the carrier and we can take a closer look at some of the features. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the XTC2 TILT from Swagman on our 2024 Hyundai Tucson. Our carrier is a frame-mounted bike carrier, so it's actually contacts right here on the top tube and on your front and rear wheel. So if you have a bike that's a little bit nicer or unconventional frame, you may have issues as far as using this carrier and getting the most out of securing your bike. An observation I made while taking a look at the XTC2 is the fact that it is kind of a small carrier. This is actually a small frame bike here. We tried to load a XL frame mountain bike and it just simply too large to fit on the inside and the small is still gonna make contact with the back of your tailgate and your handlebars can come close to your window. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the hitch-mounted compact cargo basket from Flint Hill Goods on our 2023 Hyundai Tucson. Adding a cargo basket to your hitch is gonna help resolve the issue of having limited cargo space. When you have a vehicle like the Tucson, you only have so much area for those bigger, bulkier items, and this is gonna allow you to get those out on the journey with you, as well as getting those dirtier, more cruddy things that you don't necessarily want inside your vehicle. Our baskets constructed of tubular, black powder-coated steel, and what that means, basically, it's gonna be nice and sturdy for your cargo that you're gonna put back here to hold up to that 500 pound capacity, and the powder coat is gonna hold up against the elements and the abuse just from being on the road. How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods wheelchair and scooter carrier on our 2023 Hyundai Tucson. Clearly, if you're lookin' at a scooter or a wheelchair carrier, it's to carrier scooter or wheelchair. Beyond that, you can actually get additional use for it as a cargo carrier to carry those bigger, bulkier items that don't necessarily fit into your cargo space. Another really great thing that it can work with is those heavy generators or pressure washers, those items that are on wheels to wheel up onto the back of your Tucson. Our carrier is a folding carrier and it is designed to fold up to stow away when you're not carrying your chair, scooter, or cargo. However, on the Tucson, with our etrailer hitch installed, you just don't have the clearance to fold up the the carrier without making contact to the vehicle, it's just not space for it. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the hitch mounted aluminum cargo basket from Flint Hill Goods on our 2023 Hyundai Tucson. Adding a cargo basket to your receiver hitch has its own benefits similar to adding a cargo box to the roof of your vehicle. With the Tucson, you're pretty limited as far as your cargo space, and with those bigger, bulkier items, this is gonna allow you to have that additional flexibility. So your heavier items that you wouldn't wanna hoist on top of the vehicle, you'd be able to put into your cargo basket on your hitch, and things that you wouldn't want exposed directly to the elements, you can put into a cargo box on your rooftop. Our cargo basket is constructed of extruded aluminum, and what the extruded aluminum does for you, it allows you to have a more stable and rigid material. Aluminum in itself is gonna be corrosion resistant, so you don't have to worry about that, and you have solid tie down points on the end of your carrier. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Thule WingBar Evo on our 2023 Hyundai Tucson. Adding a roof rack system to your Tucson is a great solution to get those bigger, bulkier items out on the road with you, when you're loaded down with your full passenger capacity, that's gonna take up a lot of cargo space as well as the fact that just rolling off the line, it doesn't have a lot of cargo space, and this is gonna help solve that problem. The WingBar gets its name from the obvious shape here, where it's very similar to a airplane's wing where it's more wide and rounded at the front and it tapers off towards the back. Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Hyundai Tucson- Video

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 base on our 2023 Hyundai Tucson. So when you take a look at the NV 2.0, you notice that it secures your bike by the wheels 'cause it is a wheel-mounted carrier, and that's gonna work for the person that's looking for a bike carrier that's not gonna make contact with their frame. So if you have a carbon fiber frame or a bike with a special paint job, step through unconventional frame, any one of those things, this is gonna be what you want to go for for the best, secure fit. And then on the rear, you're gonna have a single strap that goes between your spokes and keeps everything stable and connected on the very rear. At the end of our cradle here, you also have your included cable lock to secure your bike to the carrier itself. Overall with Kuat, as far as where they land with quality, I would say that they're on the higher, better, more refined, more premium end. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Hyundai Tucson- Video

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're gonna take a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE on the back of a 2023 Hyundai Tucson. So the Sport Rider is a frame-mounted bike carrier, so that means you're gonna have contact with the upper frame and it's also gonna secure your bike using straps with the loops on the front and rear wheel. Essentially what that's gonna do for you is, it's gonna stabilize your bike, but it does make contact with the frame. So if you have a bike that's a carbon fiber frame or something with a nice paint job or maybe even an unconventional frame bike, this may not be the best option. You might wanna look towards a wheel mount. However, on the back of our Tucson, this is gonna work pretty well, and we're gonna take a little bit closer look at some of the features by removing the bike from the carrier. more

Now if your Hyundai Tucson is prepped to have trailer wiring connected up to it, this seven-pole is gonna be extremely easy to get installed. It's especially easy if you're doing it at home. There's a lot of different kits that are very difficult to get into place on certain vehicles, but as long as you have that factory connector, which is gonna be right up behind our bumper piece here, you look up there, ours was wrapped with blue tape so you can see it. Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Hyundai Tucson- Video

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at Etrailer, and today, we have the Swagman XC 2 two bike platform rack. We'll take a look at how it fits on our 2022 Hyundai Tucson. Now, with the Swagman XC 2, it's actually really popular as a bike rack, mainly because it's an entry level rack, so entry level price, very affordable, but it gives you the stability of having a platform rack. Now, when you do use it with different vehicles, it works differently too, and the main thing here with the Tucson is with the hitch on this, I could not get this bike onto the closest tray without the pedals hitting the bumper or the door. So my clearance was very limited, so that's somethin' to be mindful. Now, if you have the smaller pedals, and we have those clip shoes, then you might be fine, but that's just somethin' to give you as a heads up. more

So the Kuat Transfer is actually really, really popular because it has this unique goalpost design that allows you to step into the rack to load and unload your bikes. Also, it is a more entry-level bike rack, if you like a Kuat rack 'cause they're really good at making racks, but you don't wanna pay that premium price as you would for a Kuat NV, the Kuat Transfer is a great alternative. Now, for the Tucson, there are some things though that are worth considering. One is that the Transfer does not tilt down very far. more
