The Wrangler is one of the most popular flat towed vehicles. And so when it comes to base plates, you have tons of different options when it comes to brands. My personal favorite is the Roadmaster. Some of the other base plates run all the way across and really don't fit as well as I like. A lot of them will retain that rock guard, but some of them are completely exposed. more

The design of it is designed for people that would put a rooftop tent on it in mind with the elevation, but the key of it was to not extend beyond the top of the cab. Overall, something like this is gonna just allow you to get those jacks, those jerry cans, recovery boards, all those things that you need for your adventure out on the road with you. How does the Curt Discovery NEXT Trailer Brake Controller fit on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee?- Video
Howdy, dear neighbors, Ian with etrailer. And today, we're gonna be looking at the Curt Discovery, and kinda taking a look at the functions, and then the install for that unit. Let's get right into it. So, a couple great things about the Curt Discovery here opposed to some of the other units, it's gonna have a very small footprint when it's up there, but if you needed to remove it, it's just a quick disconnect, and we can use that nice harness that we've got down there, that's gonna be just factory plugs, so it's gonna look very factory underneath the dash, it's not gonna have any butt connectors or connections that you need to make where you're tying into wires opposed to just quick connecting. One other thing I wanted to mention about the size of that since we're talking about it, is that the Tekonsha units do seem to sit out a little bit further, I've got this one here just to kinda show the difference between what the profiles would be of the two. So, you could see the Discovery is gonna be a little more flush to the dash if visual appeal is gonna be a concern of yours with your brake controller. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the second vehicle kit for the Demco Air Force One on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. If you flat tow a vehicle quite often and you're maybe tired of a portable braking system or you just wanna be able to hook up and go without having extra stuff to store, the Air Force One is definitely the one that I would go with. It's super reliable, it's got a small footprint and it's relatively easy to install. Now something that's really cool is if your coach, maybe you bought it used or you're picking up, you know, a different vehicle to flat tow or you want to have multiple vehicles in the fleet, you can pick up the second vehicle kit and that's gonna get the vehicle side all prepped to go. Whereas the full Air Force One kit also has a tank on the RV that you'll tie into the metered and supplied air. A lot of newer coaches will have an air fitting that's already mounted up. more

Now, when it comes to flat towing any vehicle these days, long gone are gonna be the magnetic tow lights. It's rare that you see them and for good reason. Most vehicles aren't magnetic anymore. So you're finding a, it's hard to find a spot to get those mounted up. You're also draping a wire, which is just one more thing that you have to store. more

How Does the RockyMounts AfterParty Swing Away Bike Rack Fit on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here at Etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts AfterParty Platform Style Bike Rack, and we're gonna see how it fits on the back of our 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. Now the AfterParty is gonna be a really nice, high-end bike rack, but most importantly, I think, is that it's gonna work great with our Wrangler here because it has a swing away arm. So we can open this a full 90 degrees and allow the tailgate on the Jeep to open properly, something that really can't be said for a lot of other bike racks. So let's start by checking that out. Underneath the rack, there's going to be a blue lever that you can pull out and loosen up, and this is gonna be the thing that keeps that arm stable, and from rattling around, you'll get to a point with this where you can hear that the bolt has unthreaded. It kinda makes that clicking noise. more

So this option is gonna be a pretty unique cargo carrier because it actually sits under our spare tire by a little bit here, and that will be something to consider for most Jeep owners out there, is that spare tire can cause problems with any hitch mounted accessory. And it's really important to watch out for that because you might be looking for a cargo carrier just to give yourself some more space on a road trip because the cargo area is so small. Maybe you're just looking for a way to carry some heavier, messier items from the hardware store and not have to bring it in your vehicle And in that case, a cargo carrier that mounts in your hitch is a great way to do that. more

So this is gonna be a three-piece, sort of universal fit cargo protector. You can certainly find custom-fit cargo protecting mats. That would be sort of like a rubberized material, but this is good for just those sort of temporary solutions. If you're just going to the hardware store and picking up something messy that you want to throw back here, you can and then very easily take this out and wash it when you're done. more

So if you're looking for a place to put people's extra stuff, whether that be luggage, camping gear, coolers, things like that, this is a great place to go because it's easy to reach and has a good weight capacity. Curt Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2023 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today, we're taking a look at installing the CURT custom fit vehicle wiring for flat-towed vehicles on a 2023 Jeep Wrangler. Now, this kit is custom fit to our Wrangler as well as a few other generations of Wrangler as well as the Gladiator. And when it comes to flat-towing vehicles, one of the things that's really come with technology is diode wiring, and long gone are the days of magnetic tow lights, mostly because vehicles today just aren't magnetic. And that's one more cable that you have to run down the vehicle and it's just one more thing to store. So having diode wiring is really nice because you can simply plug in your umbilical and it'll send the running lights, turn signals, and brake lights to the towed vehicle lights. That way, it keeps you safe and legal. more

Hey guys. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you some of the cool features on the Yakima Mod Storage System on our 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. This is gonna be a great option when it comes to having a storage solution in the back of your Jeep. We are test fitting the medium size and it fits perfect in the back of this Jeep. You've got enough room to where you can still close the door because the door on the back of a Jeep is deceiving because of this portion right here. This is gonna take up a lot of space on the inside of the vehicle, but as long as you stay past this latch here, you should be fine. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L- Video
Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L we're gonna be showing you how to install the CURT trailer hitch receiver. Before we get into that, let's just take a minute though, we'll check this out and make sure it's gonna be the right setup for you. So right off the bat, probably one of my favorite things about this hitch is the fact that it's going to sit behind the bumper, which is going to allow you to take the panel and reinstall it whenever you're not using the hitch. And so it's gonna be super clean and look factory, which kind of brings me to my next point. If you've never removed this panel, probably not a bad idea to check behind there and make sure you don't have the hitch already from the factory 'cause believe it or not, we do see that from time to time. more

etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar Review - 2022 Jeep Cherokee- Video
Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Jeep Cherokee, we're gonna be checking out the etrailer SD tow bar. Right off the bat, these etrailer SD tow bars are gonna be available in several different configurations, and really, the only difference is going to be what type of adapter end comes with it. So the one that we have here today is going to work with Blue Ox base plates as well as Curt base plates. And if you happen to have a different, you know, brand of base plate, whether it be a Roadmaster or another one, chances are really good that the SD is gonna be available with that adapter and to allow you to pair them two together. With that said though, when it comes to picking out a tow bar, it's a pretty important decision, you know, 'cause it's gonna be responsible for a lot of the work, being the physical link that's going to connect the back of your motor home to your vehicle. more
