How's it going everyone Today we are going to be taking a look at the Yakima JetStream roof rack system, installing it and explaining how it works on our 2021 Ford F-150. So, with the F-150 we have a good amount of bed storage, but if you want to get some longer or larger items, like say a kayak, or maybe you want to use this in conjunction with like a ladder rack system to get some longer loads up on top of your roof, this is gonna be a great option to do so. So, let's take a closer look at how it works. As far as the weight capacity goes of our roof rack system, it is really robust, but you want to keep a couple things in mind, that being the fact that the system itself has a weight, the accessories that you're gonna put on 'em. Also we're going to add to that, and your roof is going to be rated for a specific weight as well. Make sure you check the owner's manual in your case, find out what that weight rating is and make sure that all of the components, including the roof rack and the accessories don't exceed that limit. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Yakima CoreBar system with the TimberLine Towers on our 2021 GMC Acadia. Now as far as adding a roof rack system to your vehicle, that's gonna help solve the problem of having additional space for your cargo and still loading up your vehicle with passengers. Having a roof rack also helps you with getting out there and having fun 'cause it can also support kayak carriers, bike carriers, as well as cargo boxes, as your weight capacity on the CoreBar system is at 220 pounds. However, you're definitely gonna want to consult with your manufacturer's instructions to see what the maximum capacity of the roof is. The best benefit of not having a fixed mounting point system and taking advantage of your raised rails is the fact that you can adjust your spread for whatever accessory you're using, like some of the items I listed, or maybe a tent. The bars themselves are 50 inches long, about three inches wide, two and three quarters and an inch tall. more

Step-by-Step Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Kit Installation on a 2025 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima JetStream roof rack and see how it fits and see how it installs on our 2025 GMC Sierra 1500. Now, why would you need a roof rack on a pickup truck Well, there's a few reasons that people might have. One might be that you use your truck bed a lot, it's got a lot of stuff in it, it gets pretty dirty back there maybe, and you wanna carry some things with you that you can't carry in the cab, but you wanna keep clean compared to all the stuff you have in here anyway. Another reason might be that you're traveling with something that's a lot longer than your truck bed. So if you have a long kayak or a canoe, having a carrier up here is gonna kind of keep it all out of the way and allow you to still use your truck bed as well. And finally, another reason would be maybe you have a ladder rack without a cantilever that goes over your cab and you're just carrying something particularly long that day and you just want the extra support underneath whatever item that is going over your cab. more

The crossbars that we have here are an aerodynamic shape so they taper in the back just to cut down on some of that wind noise and wind resistance. With any sort of roof rack system, you'll get a little bit, but this is nice that it cuts some of that down. Additionally, it does feature this rubberized strip inside this T-track slot, so you can use these roof rack with T-track accessories and there's no need to trim the actual strip to get those on. more
