Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Demco Air Force One Second Vehicle Kit. If you're looking at the Second Vehicle Kit, more than likely, you already know that the Air Force One is a fantastic braking system, and you are either adding another vehicle to the fleet and you wanna be able to flat tow both of them, or maybe you sold your original flat-tow vehicle and wanna set it up with that same braking system. And this is a great way to do that because it's gonna give you all the necessary things to get the vehicle side flat tow-ready, and that way you can hook up the same cable that you had on your prepped RV and you'll be ready to go. Now, no surprises here. It's gonna be all the same components that you previously had installed on your other flat-towed vehicle, so it's gonna give you all the necessary components to get the air fitting, the breakaway switch, the main unit, and your cylinder all mounted up and connected with the airline tubes as well as all of the necessary electrical. Today on our 2013 Cadillac SRX, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the SMI Second Vehicle Kit for Air Force One Supplemental Braking Systems, part #SM99209. Here's what it looks like once it's installed. This Air Force One system's going to be a second vehicle kit, so it's not going to have all the parts that go to your coach cause your coach should already have them in place and this is just to be able to tow a second vehicle, should you have 2 vehicles you want to tow. It's going to be a proportioning braking system. It's going to run off the coach's air brakes, so if you just give it a little bit of a light brake pedal action, your car is only going to have some light braking. It's going to be a one time setup so that this will always be in your vehicle. When the air hose is unplugged, it's inoperative. Once you plug it in, then it's going to operate. The kit's going to come with everything needed to install it into your towed vehicle. Now let's go ahead and show you how it's installed. more

You'll need your tow bar, which is the connection between your motor home and your vehicle, your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection, in addition to your tow bar. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for coaches with air brakes on a 2024 Chevy Trailblazer RS. Now this is gonna be available as the second vehicle kit, which is gonna focus directly on the vehicle, which is a great option for coaches that are already prepped like we have today. But if your coach doesn't have your regulator tank in place and a fitting on the back to attach your air hose, you can get the entire kit, and that's gonna allow you to tap into the air on your coach and still get that air pressure sent through here to the cylinder that's mounted on your brake pedal. That way, when you apply the brakes on your coach, it'll slow and stop your towed vehicle. The five main flat-towing components in order to get your Expedition down the road, behind your RV, is going to be your base plate, your tow bar, a supplemental braking system, your safety cables, and your diode wiring. Adding the supplemental braking system to your Ford Expedition for flat towing is gonna allow you to apply the brakes in the Ford Expedition so that it is stopping itself, while the motorhome is going to apply the brakes in itself. That way it's stopping each other proportionally. You can think of it a lot like the brakes on a trailer. more

The second vehicle kit is a great option if you previously had a vehicle set up with the Air Force One, and maybe you've changed your towed vehicle, but you wanna maintain that Demco Air Force One, you know, usability as well as functionality of the braking system. Now this can also work if you're adding another vehicle to the fleet and you want to just be able to hook it up to the same coach. This is a great way to do that. Really this kit just encompasses the towed vehicle section, which will give you all the components to get the vehicle ready to hook up to that air line and get those air brakes pumping into the cylinder on your towed vehicle. more
Today on our 2018 Ford Expedition, we're gonna be taking a look at the Second Vehicle Kit for Air Force One Supplemental Braking System, part number SM99209.If you've been flat towing and you have an Air Force One on your motor home and you get a new vehicle or have a second one that you want to tow, our secondary vehicle kit for the Air Force One is gonna prevent you from having to buy the entire kit again. Now the secondary vehicle kit's gonna work just like the original one. We're still gonna hook up to our motor home with an airline and have our breakaway switch in case of an emergency. But we're not gonna have to touch the motor home or install any parts on it.Our kit's gonna come with the operating unit and all the wires, hoses and lines to get it installed on the vehicle. And the way it's gonna operate the brakes on our second vehicle is we're gonna have this actuator clamped onto the brake pedal and it's gonna apply it by pulling the brake pedal forward towards the firewall. Now the nice thing about this is the fact that it is gonna be permanently installed. more

The Air Force One will use an air signal from your motorhome, take it into the main unit here that we mounted, and it sends that signal to an actuator that's bracketed onto your brake pedal, and it's gonna pull that brake pedal towards the firewall. This is not the full Air Force One kit that you would need if you wanted to start flat towing these two, this is gonna assume that you already have your coach equipped with the flat tow side, the Air Force One side and the cord leading up to the truck. Or if you want to add one of the cars at home to the list of vehicles that you can flat to a second vehicle kit is gonna be the best option. There's going to be five main components needed to flat tow your Jeep Cherokee down the road, they're going to include your base plate, your tow bar, your braking system, your tow bar wiring, and your safety cables. Your base plate is going to attach your Jeep's frame and give us a really solid and reliable connection point to hook our tow bar up to.The tow bar is going to be that link that goes from your base plate to the back of the motor home and allows your vehicle to pivot behind your motor home as you're going down the road. When flat towing any vehicle, a braking system is gonna be required, and you're left with a few options. You can go with a portable option, which is great. Installation's very easy, and you set it up and it's ready to go. The downside is you have to set it up every time that you wanna flat tow your vehicle, and then, when not setting it up, you have to store said braking system. If you're a full-timer or someone that flat tows all the time, that's valuable space that you could be using for, really, anything else. more

When it comes to flat towing any vehicle, there's gonna be five main components that are always gonna be required and you may have some extra pieces that you'll add in depending on the vehicle. But starting with the first component, it's gonna be your base plate and that's gonna be the structural mounting point on the frame of the vehicle that allows you to hook up the rest of the components and safely tow it down the road. That connecting point between the base plate and the RV is gonna be your tow bar. You also just like pulling a trailer, have safety chains, so that way in case of an accidental disconnect, it's still attached from RV to the vehicle. So we have our cables attached there. more
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Air Force One second vehicle kit on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE. Having a braking system on a flat towed vehicle is required in most states and the reason being is it applies the brakes on the vehicle as you apply the brakes on the RV, bringing the vehicle to a slow and stop when you are coming to a slow or stop on your RV. But you also have a breakaway switch on the front of the vehicle in case of a catastrophic disconnect which will apply the brakes on the vehicle and that way it's not rolling down the highway in case of that disconnect. Now you can get the full kit with the Air Force One and that's gonna give you a reservoir tank that you'll tie into your supplied and metered air on your RV. But a lot of your newer coaches will actually have brake sink or on our Spartan today, you can see our tow brake already has a hookup so you're gonna wanna check that first because if that's the case, then you can get the second vehicle kit which is basically just the car side. It's not gonna have the tank and you won't have to worry about the RV. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the second vehicle kit for the Demco Air Force One on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. If you flat tow a vehicle quite often and you're maybe tired of a portable braking system or you just wanna be able to hook up and go without having extra stuff to store, the Air Force One is definitely the one that I would go with. It's super reliable, it's got a small footprint and it's relatively easy to install. Now something that's really cool is if your coach, maybe you bought it used or you're picking up, you know, a different vehicle to flat tow or you want to have multiple vehicles in the fleet, you can pick up the second vehicle kit and that's gonna get the vehicle side all prepped to go. Whereas the full Air Force One kit also has a tank on the RV that you'll tie into the metered and supplied air. A lot of newer coaches will have an air fitting that's already mounted up. more
Hi, this is Scott with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at and installing our Demco Air Force One second vehicle kit for 2025 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The five main components you're gonna need to get set up for flat tow is you're gonna need your base plate, you're gonna need a diode wiring kit, you're gonna need a braking system, you're gonna need your tow bars and your safety cables. Another nice thing to add onto your flat tow setup would be a charge line kit, and that's gonna allow your RV to keep your battery charged on your towed vehicle's battery. The second vehicle kit from Demco is gonna allow you to set up your vehicle side of your flat tow setup if your RV already has the Air Force one set up in it. So what you're gonna have with your kit is gonna give you your control box, so you're gonna have that, and then you're gonna have all of your lines and your hoses for your vacuum set up. more
