Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Pickup Truck Ladder Rack Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Colorado- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at our Flint Hill Goods aluminum truck bed ladder rack on our 2022 Chevy Colorado. Adding a ladder rack to the back of your Chevrolet Colorado is gonna allow you to increase your cargo capacity to carry those longer items that wouldn't necessarily fit inside the vehicle or in the bed itself. It'll let you get those longer ladders, lumber, PVC pipe, and also on the sports and rec side, you can get those cargo boxes as well as your canoe and kayak carriers. Our crossbars and uprights are made of extruded aluminum with a reinforced core to give you a nice solid 400 pound weight capacity. So these are very durable and corrosion resistant. At the top, you actually have hand twist load stops that are gonna allow you to just twist to lock in place to keep your items from shifting right or left. more

B and W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at the B&W Patriot sliding fifth wheel in a 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500. Something that I recommend to every person that is towing a fifth wheel with a short bed or not a long bed truck is going to be a sliding fifth wheel. There's other ways around, you know, preventing cab corners from getting crushed, you can get a movable pin box and that's gonna help a little bit, but this is a great way, if you're having to navigate in some really tight turns, to have that ability to be able to slide this back, give you that clearance to make that turn, and then you can hit the road after that. Otherwise, you are gonna be stuck with just kind of smaller angles than normal, otherwise you run the risk of damaging your truck. So this is a nice easy way to make that short bed still be able to tow a fifth wheel with no problem. Operate the slide function super easy on here. more

Today, we have a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Tekonsha 4-pole trailer wiring harness. Adding a 4-pole harness to your Chevy Traverse is gonna allow you to transfer the lighting signals safely from your Traverse to your trailer that you're pulling. It'll come with this integrated dust cap that you can simply loop around the safety chain loop and attach it back to itself to keep it safe and out of the way. Once you throw your cover back on here, you won't have to worry about it. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2024 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT Class 3 two-inch hitch receiver. Adding the hitch receiver to the back here at Traverse is gonna allow you to haul bike racks, cargo carriers, or maybe even tow a small trailer. If you're planning on towing a trailer, I highly recommend going ahead and picking up a four-pole wiring harness to install while you install the hitch, because our factory plug is gonna be right here behind the fascia. It'll be really, really easy to get it plugged in and get it working while you're installing the hitch. Being that this is a two-inch by two-inch hitch receiver tube opening, it is gonna give you a lot of options for accessories out there. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima Roof Rack System on our 2022 Chevrolet Colorado. Having a roof rack to your vehicle helps solve the issue of not having enough cargo space, especially when you have a smaller pickup like the Colorado. It allows you to make use of the negative space on top of your truck to get those bigger, bulkier items on the road with you for your journey. So for example, if you want to get a rooftop carrier, rooftop basket, or even a bike carrier, you'd be able to take advantage of that space without taking away from your bed or your passenger area. The JetStream bars are a arrow-type bar, so it's shaped like a airplane wing to help cut through the wind resistance. Adding a roof rack to the roof of your Colorado is gonna help solve the issue of having limited cargo space in comparison to other trucks. So this is gonna allow you to use that negative space to get your items out on the road with you for your journey, kind of like this Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack. Taking a closer look at our roof rack, you can see that our crossbars, they're gonna go across and they're 48 inches wide. As far as the clearance your tower gives you, there's plenty of space to get your accessories looped underneath and you have just enough room on the end if you want to add like a loop or a tie down to your T-track. As far as your T-track, it's seven-eighths-inches wide, and you can cut and trim the arrow material that's at the top to fit for those items that you may wanna put in your track. more

Hey, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we have the REESE Cargo Carrier. This is gonna be a 24-inch by 60-inch carrier and we're gonna take a look at how it fits here on our 2023 Chevrolet Equinox. This is a steel cargo basket with a 500-pound evenly distributed weight capacity, which means that you can carry a lot of things with this basket, expands your cargo space on your Equinox. Ideal for if you want to carry cargo that might be a little dirty, sandy or messy and you don't want it messing up the interior of your vehicle or if you wanna make it easier to lift up into the basket versus having to lift it into your hatch. This is actually a pretty good fit with the Equinox because it does have a little bit of a rise, and since you don't have much ground clearance with this vehicle, this is gonna help you out. Now, this is going to be a great way to carry some extra stuff with you when you're going on your trips, especially if you've got that third row of seats up, cargo space in the back is quite limited, and with this being a smaller carrier, it is still gonna be quite capable. It's got a 500 pound weight capacity and steel construction, so plenty strong. And the biggest thing to watch out for is the dimensions. Now the cargo carrier is gonna be a great way to carry extra stuff with you, especially in our Traverse, if you've got that third row seats up, cargo space is limited. So if you're going on a trip with some people, you gotta put the stuff somewhere. And for me, the hitch is one of the best places you can put it because you've got a good weight capacity and a good amount of space. To be more specific with that space, our usable dimensions, front to back, are 20 1/2 inches, and from side to side, we're working with 47 1/2 inches. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the REESE hitch mounted cargo carrier, and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2024 Chevrolet Traverse Limited. Now, a cargo carrier is a great way to get some extra stuff with you on either a road trip, or just carry some messy stuff with you that you don't wanna put in your vehicle, say, trips to the hardware store, bags of mulch, concrete, soil, things that tend to rip and make a mess, you can keep it out here. I know my father-in-law personally uses his a lot for stuff like that, because it's a lot easier to clean this off with the hose than it is to vacuum out the carpet in your vehicle. But this option from REESE is going to be a pretty good entry-level choice, because there's not a whole lot to it, but it does offer you a good amount of space. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Westin Truck Bed Mat on our 2022 Chevy Colorado. Adding a truck bed mat to the back of your vehicle is gonna allow you to have additional measure of protection against scratches and dents and dings, especially this guy with it being so thick. Generally speaking, if you're gonna use your truck bed as a truck bed, it's a great measure and a great way to keep things nice and secure when you're going down the road, 'cause it gives you additional traction on the bottom and keep a lot of that dirt and grime directly off the paint of your bed. So, taking a closer look at what makes this one unique is the fact that it is a custom fit mat. So it's going to be designed to fit your six foot bed and fit right in to the details in the grooves of the bed, like around your wheel wells and everything else as far as the contours. So underneath your mat, you actually have these three spot dots that are gonna actually give you additional traction and grip on the top of your bed, while still giving you a nice channel underneath for moisture and water to flow out and without having a pool underneath the mat. more

We have some Rhino-Rack tracks mounted to our camper shell here on our Silverado. And the reason that the owner of this truck picked these tracks is so that he could adjust his crossbars back and forth to accommodate for different accessories. Adding towing mirrors to your truck is gonna allow you to get additional visibility and increase your safety when you're going down the road. The Longview, they actually just snap and hook onto the side of your mirror, and it's gonna basically give you a good amount of space to increase your visibility. Now, what you're adding to your mirror, you're right about a foot overall. As far as the mirror surface itself, you're right little bit over 5 1/2 inches wide. As far as the height on it, right at about 4 1/2 inches. more

Just gives you a better view of the road by adding an additional mirror, so you can extend your field of vision. Overall, what you're adding to the vehicle, well, to the mirror, you're right here at the top, about 11 and a half inches. Overall, a little bit shorter, 13. How is it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima SkinnyWarrior Rooftop Basket on our 2022 Chevrolet Colorado. Now, a rooftop basket is gonna help solve the issue of having limited cargo space, because you have a compact pickup. You know, cargo space is at a premium, and this lets you use that negative space on top of your roof. So our basket is actually constructed of powder coated steel, so that's gonna hold up against the elements out there on the road and, you know, help resist corrosion. Overall, our basket is a pretty decent amount of space as far as usable space. You're right at about a little over 22 inches as far as your width, and your length is right at 55 as far as the usable space in your basket, and a little bit over five inches as far as the height of the bar. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster diode wiring kit. Adding diode wiring to your blazer is going to help you to transfer the lighting signals from your motor home to the back of your blazer whenever you're flat towing. Now some other options that you have for lighting whenever you're flat towing your vehicle are going to be magnetic lights, which can kind of be a hassle to set up because you have to run a 4-pole from the back of your vehicle all the way up to the front every single time you wanna flat tow. And then you have to find a place to store those whenever you're not using 'em. So I really don't care for those, especially with newer vehicles having aluminum panels on the vehicle, you can't stick the magnets to those so you're gonna have to have- find a different place to be able to mount those up. more

Today we're gonna be taking a look at this Curt Gooseneck Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit for your 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with the factory towing prep package. If you have the towing prep package, this is the easiest way to add a gooseneck ball to your truck and be able to tow a gooseneck trailer because it's just a drop-in system. Very easy to do, and when it's not in use, you can take it out and leave nothing behind, so there's full access to your truck bed. Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Draw-Tite Class I trailer hitch receiver on a 2021 Chevrolet Bolt ev. This is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and for the most part, this is a hidden cross tube, meaning you're not gonna see a good portion of the hitch except for the receiver tube opening. Now a little bit over here, on these cutouts on the bumper, you are gonna see a little portion of the hitch if you're down low, but overall it stays pretty hidden and gives you a nice clean look overall. Now this is gonna be a Class I, so it's 1 1/4 inch receiver tube opening, which is not as common as your two inch receiver tube opening. So when it comes to accessories, you're gonna be a little bit more limited. But on a vehicle like this, a lot of times there's not many options. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about the Titan Chains with V-bar links on our 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. And we're gonna have this on our tire size today, 275/65R20, and we're gonna have this on our rear axle. So let's check it out. These are gonna be a great of chains if you're going through any more heavier duty conditions, whether that be some deep snow and ice, or mud. And what's gonna give it that ability to get through those situations, are gonna be these twist links we have here, with the assistance of these V-bars up top. Those twist links, in general, will get you through those more moderate snow and ice conditions, but with the V-bars on top, that's gonna give you that extra bite to get through that deep snow and ice. more

Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit Installation - 2021 Chevrolet Blazer- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Roadmaster Direct-Connect base plate on our 2021 Chevrolet Blazer. Your base plate is going to be your main connection point for your tow bar to be able to connect to so you can flat tow your Blazer down the road. As you can see here, our base plate is going to be hidden behind the rear fascia, or behind the front fascia. You'll have your, these tabs here are removable so you won't see them whenever you're not flat towing your vehicle. The safety chain loops will stick out of the front fascia so that you can hook up to your safety chains. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about the Leer's fold-up tonneau cover on the back of our 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. Now, this will be a great option for anyone who's looking for something that's gonna be relatively pretty low profile, giving you more of a sleek design overall, and it's gonna offer you that extra protection still, since this is a hard cover. Like I just said, this is a pretty tough tonneau cover. (knuckles knocking) As you can hear, it is pretty sturdy. It's gonna have a weight capacity up to 450 pounds, so that's gonna be great if you do need to put some things on top of here, great if maybe you walking by, you need to throw your tool bag up somewhere, you have that option, or your groceries, too. And this is gonna have a fiberglass core to it and this reinforced plastic on top. more
