TowSmart Class III Trailer Hitch DIY Installation - 2015 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey neighbors, Kevin with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install TowSmart's square tube trailer hitch receiver here on our 2015 Dodge Durango. If you're planning on hauling around a small utility trailer, maybe you have a bike rack you wanna throw on the back of your vehicle or you have a cargo carrier that you need so you can haul around some extra items while you're out on the go, having the TowSmart trailer receiver is going to be a game changer. With this specific hitch it does give you a hidden cross tube so it is hidden up behind the fascia just a bit and just gives you just that receiver tube sticking out so that you have a nice clean look for your vehicle. Now there are a couple other options where you can have a cleaner look where it's inside the bumper where this little pan will drop down, but if you're wanting a nice easy bolt up installation, then this is gonna be the case so that you're not ripping off the whole fascia just to get your trailer hitch installed. This trailer hitch receiver is gonna come with a 5,000 pound gross towing weight capacity and a 500 pound tongue weight capacity. Now that doesn't mean that you can just throw 5,000 pounds on this hitch and be good to go. more

And today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install TowSmart's round tube, class three trailer hitch receiver here on our 2015 Dodge Durango. If you're like our neighbor today and you're planning on either hauling a small trailer, or you just wanna be able to throw on a cargo carrier or a bike rack to the back of your vehicle so that you can take that around with you wherever you go, then having a trailer hitch receiver is going to be an essential component. With TowSmart's custom-fit trailer hitch receiver right here, we're gonna be reusing some factory hardware to mount it up into place, and that's gonna give us a 6,000-pound gross towing weight capacity and a 600-pound tongue weight capacity with a two-inch receiver tube. Now this receiver tube being two inches, that's gonna give you the most bang for your buck because that's gonna be the bigger option when it comes to any kind of accessory. more

Hey, neighbors. Kevin here with etrailer, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer Class III trailer hitch receiver here on our 2015 Dodge Durango. If you're wanting to haul a small trailer, or maybe just throw a bike rack on the back of your Durango, or even just the cargo carrier so you can haul more around when you're going from point A to point B, then having a trailer hitch receiver like our etrailer hitch is going to be an essential component. Along with that, you might also want to look into some wiring, especially if you're gonna be towing a trailer, 'cause you are gonna need to transfer over your traffic signals from your vehicle over to the trailer. And especially if that trailer has any kind of trailer brakes, you are gonna need to upgrade up to a seven way, so that way you can properly send back those light signals, as well as the brake controller signals that you can activate those brakes on that trailer for a nice safe ride. If we take a closer look at our trailer hitch, we're gonna see it has a two-inch-by-two-inch receiver tube opening, which is going to be the best option because most accessories are gonna come with that two-inch-by-two-inch shank. more

Hey, neighbor, it's Kevin here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's T-connector vehicle trailer wiring harness here on our 2015 Dodge Durango. If you're planning on towing a trailer, then having a four-pole wire harness to transfer over your light signals is going to be a key component. With the CURT T-connector style that we have today, this is going to plug into our taillights so that we don't have to splice anything in. We're not cutting any wires. It's gonna be a much easier and quicker install overall. So this four-pole connector is going to give you those traffic signal so that way your lights are transferring back to the trailer, or if you have a bike rack that has some lights built into it, it's a nice addition so that you can easily show everybody on the road exactly what your intentions are. more

If you're like our neighbor today and you're planning on towing a small trailer, maybe you need to move somewhere, or you just wanna throw a little bit of extra cargo on the back of your vehicle so you can haul it around or even just the bike rack, a trailer hitch is going to be a necessary component to complete all of those tasks. And with the Blue Ox receiver, here, it's gonna give you a nice option where it's gonna stick out just a bit further than most of the competition. Now, this is going to have a hitch pin hole within less than an inch from the edge of our fascia. So you won't really have to worry about any kind of clearance issues if you have a folding accessory. So typically those cargo carriers, bike racks, anything like that, they can fold up. more

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. Today we're taking a look at how the Inno Quick Base system, with the bike rack attachment, fits on a 2024 Dodge Durango. If you're not familiar with the Inno Quick Base, it's a modular system where you can get your base installed onto your hitch as well as a base on your roof, and then you can mix and match between different accessories very quickly and very easily. The Quick Base system is a pretty cool fit for the Durango especially because, especially this Durango here, it came with a hitch as well as a roof rack. So at this point, rather than having to get a hitch or roof rack, you only need to get the bases and you are good to go. Now, here we have our bike rack attachment installed onto our Quick Base, and this is gonna give us a 60-pound per-bike weight capacity. more

What you're gonna receive with your Durango, it's gonna be OEM mats like this, and they will offer measure of protection for the carpet that's underneath it. You're gonna have nice nibs on the back that holds it into place, and then two buttons where you can tack it down to the floor. However, the coverage area of your OEM mat versus what this WeatherTech Mat is gonna do, this is gonna protect those side walls, your plastic, and everything where your feet can make contact. Now whether you're looking to tow a trailer or a camper or add some other hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack or a cargo carrier to the back of your Durango, a hitch is gonna be a great way to get all of that done and add a lot of function to your vehicle. With this being a Class III hitch it's going to give you a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great for accepting the widest range of accessories. That two inch by two inch opening is gonna be pretty standard across bike racks, cargo carriers, ball mounts, things of that nature. more

DIY 2022 Dodge Durango Installation for the Inno Aero Flush Roof Rack for Naked Roofs- Video
Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install this Inno roof rack system with the flush-mounted crossbars on our 2022 Dodge Durango. Now, when I say flush-mounted, what I mean by that is that the crossbar, that piece up top that we're gonna attach our accessories to, ends inside the foot pack here, meaning that nothing overhangs off the side of the vehicle. A lot of people prefer this style because it is a little bit more clean and custom looking. And if you only plan on mounting up one accessory on your roof, maybe something like a box for a road trip or a basket, then this is gonna be plenty of room. more

DIY 2022 Dodge Durango Installation for the Yakima FullTilt Bike Rack for 5 Bikes- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima FullTilt Bike Rack on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. One of the main features that sets this hanging style bike rack from the other ones is it has the potential to carry five bikes at one time, each at 40 pounds and a maximum of 150 pounds. And since it makes contact with the bike rack, it's not gonna be compatible with carbon frame bike racks or alternative frame bike racks. And since its weight capacity is only 40 pounds, it will not be compatible with e-bikes either. Now if you do have an alternative style bike or a child's bike, we do have these adapter bars that make them compatible with the hanging frames. You do have these adjustable clips that keep your bikes in place. more

Installing the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 4 Bikes on your 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi Matt here with the etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. This rack is capable of holding four bikes, 35 pounds each, has three straps, one on each tire and one on the frame. This is gonna prevent it from being carbon frame friendly, and it's not gonna be E-bike friendly either. Something we did notice about this bike rack is when we had our bike in this first spot here, the handle bars actually made contact with the back of the windshield, just barely, so we decided to move it on to this second rack here. And this is about a 29 inch handlebar length, so if you do have any bikes that are 29 and longer, I'd keep 'em on the third, the second rack and up. Now if you have any ones that have shorter lengths, I'd say they would fit here. more

Mount: Kuat NV 2.0 Base Bike Rack for 2 Bikes on a 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi Matt here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Kuat NV Base on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. Since our Kuat NV Base is a premium bike rack, it has the ability to tilt back. So all we'll have to do is press down on this lever and let it tilt back, kind of cradling the back end. Now we'll have access to our back hatch. Now keep in mind that we do have 29" handlebars, and that barely makes clearance. So if you have anything wider, I'd definitely put that on the other rack back here. more

How to Set Up Your Konig Tire Chains on a 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Mel with the Etrailer here. Today we're gonna be talking about the Konig XG-12 Pro self-tensioning tire chains on a 2022 Dodge Durango. Some points to look at for these chains are they're gonna last a long time since they made out of that alloy steel. They're gonna be very versatile since they're the square chains and they're diamond-shaped so they can go in a lot of different conditions, and they've got that self-tensioning to them as well. If we look at these individual chain links, they're gonna be square-shaped, and that's gonna give us the ability to really tear through that snow and ice, so they're gonna give us better traction. 2022 Dodge Durango Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 2 Bikes: Complete Installation- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This is a platform-style bike rack capable of holding two bikes, 35 pounds each, has three points of contact, one on each tire, and one in the center on the frame. What this means, is it's not gonna be e-bike friendly, because it won't be able to hold that much weight, or it won't be carbon frame friendly, because it's attached directly to the frame. A neat function with this bike rack as well, is gonna be this padded strap. So what's nice about this, is it rotates and adjusts up and down. So overall, that's gonna be really nice for if you have an alternative frame bike, it's gonna fit even kid bikes as well. more

2022 Dodge Durango Glacier Cable Tire Chains: Complete Installation- Video
Hi everyone, Matt with etrailer. And we're gonna be talking about the Glacier Chain cable traction device, and how it fits on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This tire here is gonna be a 265/50R20, and it's gonna be on our rear wheel. And also always check your driver's manual to see which axle you should put your tire chains on. These are gonna be a lighter chain so they're gonna be great for anything that's gonna be light snow or light ice. So if you're not going through like really deep snow, this is gonna be great. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2019 Dodge Durango- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2019 Dodge Durango, and we're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt four-pole wiring harness. Adding a four-pole wiring harness to your Durango is gonna allow you to pull trailers with four-pole wiring on them. This will allow you to safely transfer the signals from your vehicle to the trailer, letting others know what your intentions are on the road. It's going to transfer four signals, which will be your left turn, your right turn, your taillights, and your brake lights. Now, there are some accessories out there that will take a four-pole to be able to run the lights on 'em. more

Setting up the 17x50 Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches on a 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer. And today we're gonna be talking about the Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier on the back of a 2022 Dodge Durango. This carrier can support about 400 pounds which is a little bit less than some of our other options. So when I stand up here trying to stand in the center not on the mesh itself, the vehicle kind of goes down a little bit, but not too much. So I think it's gonna perform pretty well with this cargo carrier. As for the mesh, if you put weight down on it directly, you're gonna notice a lot more give than if it was gonna be on the bar itself. more

Checking Out the Flint Hill Goods 19" x 53" Cargo Carrier on your 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Matt here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Flint Hill Goods steel compact cargo carrier, on the back of a 2022 Dodge Durango. Some of the features of this compact cargo carrier is that it can still hold the 500 pounds, just like most of our other cargo carriers. And, the vehicle's barely going down so it's interacting very nicely with it. So that's a a plus for it. And the back of it is, since it's compact, it's not gonna extend out nearly as far as a lot of other cargo carriers. more

Hi Matt here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about our Flint Hills good aluminum cargo carrier on the back of the 2022 Dodge Durango. As for the capabilities of this cargo carrier, it's about a medium sized cargo carrier that can handle about 500 pounds. So if I get in the back of it, I'm about 250 pounds, just under, and the vehicle barely shifts down, so the vehicle handles it very nicely as well. As for putting anything inside the cargo carrier, the walls are pretty short on it, they're pretty shallow, so this would be a great cargo carrier for anything like bags or anything that might kind of spill over just a little bit. As for the dimensions, it's gonna be about 48 inches in an interior of the width, just over 21 inches for the length, and then on the bottom here we have just under 12 inches. more

Install: Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket on a 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Basket on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This roof basket can carry about 165 pounds, but keep in mind your own capabilities for your own roof. So your own roof might not be able to carry that much weight. And then also think about the weight of the roof rack as well, 'cause that's gonna count towards your own roof's weight limit. Also the total height we have right now is gonna give you almost an additional 10 inches above your roof. So keep that in mind if you're going anywhere with a low clearance, especially if you're gonna have anything in here as well. more

Test Fitting the Flint Hill Goods 22" x 49" Cargo Carrier on a 2022 Dodge Durango- Video
Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer, and today we're gonna be talking about the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier on the 2022 Dodge Durango. This medium-sized cargo carrier is gonna be able to handle 500 pounds. So that's perfect if you have anything heavy you wanna keep outside your vehicle and not inside the back. If I get inside of it, you can see I'm just under 250 pounds, and that's handling pretty well. Now, if we look at the dimensions of it, the width is gonna be about 47 1/4 inches, and the length is gonna be about 20 1/2 inches, depth just under six inches. As for tie down, tying anything down, now, really, we have a lot of spots that work great for that, you know, like even this aluminum is still gonna be, is still really sturdy. more
