Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt class one trailer hitch receiver on a 2025 Toyota Camry. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Camry and overall you get a very clean look because it's gonna be a hidden cross tube, meaning the only thing that you're gonna see when installed is gonna be the receiver tube opening as well as the safety chain loops. Now being that it's a class one, it is gonna be an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, so you're gonna be a little bit limited when it comes to bike racks, cargo carriers, or even ball mounts. And that's kind of the nature of inch and a quarter. It's meant for sedans and smaller vehicles that really don't have a ton of weight carrying capacity. So you are gonna be limited to this inch and a quarter. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the CURT Class 1 trailer hitch receiver on a 2024 Toyota Camry. Camrys are some of the best, most reliable sedans you can find out on the road, but when it comes to maybe doing some explorations or adding to your adventures, maybe it's not the most suited, but that's not to stop you from being able to have a bike rack, cargo carrier, or even towing a small trailer with it. Your other options include having a roof rack on your vehicle to be able to put that cargo rack or a bike rack and that's not a bad option. I've gone that route on my car and then I finally ended up going with an inch and a quarter hitch. And that was all that was available for my vehicle. And that's kind of the case with this, but not to worry, it's really nice to have that hitch because I've used it for many different things, not just my bike rack. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install this CURT Class 1 Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2022 Toyota Camry. So with this being a Class 1 hitch it's gonna be pretty limited in terms of weight capacity but if you're looking to carry something like a bike rack or maybe a small cargo carrier or even tow a very small trailer it can certainly get the job done and it really expands the function of your Camry. I think most commonly it's probably gonna be something like a bike rack, and our neighbor today is gonna be using this for a bike rack. With a 200 pound max tongue weight rating it's going to be more than enough for most bike racks loaded up with some pretty standard bikes, maybe not the best option for E-bikes but with the Camry your options are gonna be very limited. more

Right off the bat, if you wanna carry around extra heavy electric bikes, I know your options are limited with the Camry, because you have an inch and a quarter hitch receiver. So whenever you do have to carry those heavy bikes, please double check their weight, see if you can take off the batteries, if they are removable, also, better for the battery life to do that and keep them in your car, and make sure you don't exceed your tongue weight capacity. So with that being said, the Swagman Current will help you out with carrying around those bikes. This is designed to fit in those inch and a quarter hitches, you do have some premium features here to make it easier to live with heavy bikes, one of them is gonna be it has a tilt away lever. That bright green lever, if you pull that or I guess lift it, you can drop this rack down to a tilt, and that allows you to open up the trunk. more

Fit Test: Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 2 Bikes on a 2018 Toyota Camry- Video
Hi, everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 bike platform rack and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2018 Toyota Camry. So right off the bat, we did put a hitch receiver on this Camry in order to carry around a hitch-mounted bike rack like this. It was an inch and a quarter hitch, which kind of limited our options, but even then, the Hollywood Racks Destination 2 is a great match. It's lightweight, it's affordable, and it has that nice platform rack design which gives you that extra stability. So compared to hanging racks, your bikes are gonna be a lot more stable on this rack. Now, since it is an entry level bike rack though, you do lose out on some premium features you expect with the more premium racks. more

Thule Helium Pro 2 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Toyota Camry- Video

So the rack that we have here today can carry up to a total of two bikes. However, if you do need to carry an extra one, there's also a three bike version available as well. So whats really nice about this setup, if you do need to get inside of your trunk whenever you are carrying your bikes it's really not a big deal, we're going to have enough clearance to be able to do that.One of the things that really separates this wreck from many of the others is that it's made from aluminum. Now the rack that we have here today can carry up to a total of two bikes, but if you need to carry more, there's a four bike version available as well. Now, something that's really cool about this setup is if we need to get inside of our trunk, even when we're carrying our bikes on the rack, we're still able to do so. And that's usually not the case for a lot of different racks. And even though we can access the trunk, but the rack here in the upright position, it could be a little challenging with this and the way to get heavy or real big objects in and out of the back of our Camry.But what we can do to make it easier is fold the rack down. more

However, if you do have something really heavy or really large, this does fold down out of the way and gives us even more space. We moved down here and again, just pull this pin out and we're able to move it down. And then we have a ton of room to get those heavy or large objects in and out with ease. more

The only thing you're going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening, and to me, that would be really important if I owned one of these Camrys and that's because in my opinion, they do look really good. Now, this rack does hold up to a total of two bikes, however, if you're looking to carry more, there's also a three bike version available as well. Now, one of the best parts about this rack is that it's made from aluminum. So not only is it going to be extremely lightweight and easy to handle, but we're not going to have to worry about any rust or corrosion issues either. A really common question we get in regards to these hitch mounted bike racks, is if you're still going to be able to have full access to your trunk or this one on the back of the Camry, even in the upright position, we're still going to have no problem opening up our trunk and getting all of our stuff in and out.Now, if he has something really large or awkward that you're trying to put in or take out, you can still free up some space because this does fold down, and if you come down here and pull up on this lever, and swing it out of the way, and now we shouldn't have any issues at all getting all of our stuff in and out. more

Now, even though our hitch is visible, it is going to sit up nice and tight against our back bumper, but whenever the vehicle's on the ground, it's not going to be that noticeable but there is a upside to that and that is the ease of use. Everything will be out in the open and really easy to get to. Many of our Camry customers plan on using some fold-up accessories, like bike racks, and this hitch is going to work really well for those and that's because of the clearance it offers. The end of the receiver tube is going to stick out just a little bit past our back bumper, so that'll work perfect.Now, this is a class two hitch, so it's going to have that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, a reinforced collar for some extra strength, and it's also going to have the half inch size pinhole. more

Rola Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Toyota Camry- Video
Ryan: How's it going, everybody Ryan here etrailer.com. Today on our 2018 Toyota Camry we're going to be taking a look at the Rola TX102 bike rack. Now this can hold a total of up to two bikes, and the bikes that it is holding, it's going to hold them down in three spots. We're going to have two straps here along our top two. We're also going to have a strap down here, which is an anti sway strap, and that'll help eliminate side to side movement preventing any bike to bike or bike direct contact. Now one feature I thought was pretty neat is that it's going to have an integrated lock, so when our bikes are in place this will simply pull out, we'll loop it around the frame and clip it onto the arm. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Toyota Camry- Video
Ryan: How's it going, everybody Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2018 Toyota Camry, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro 2 Bike Rack. Now, this can carry up to two bikes. However, if you're needing to carry an extra one, there's also a three bike version available, as well.Now, one of my favorite things about this rack is that we're still able to completely open our trunk without having to fold our rack out of the way. And that's really convenient, because if you do fold your rack down, you're going to have to make sure to take your bikes off. That's why when we load our bikes up, we still have no problem getting our gear in and out.It's going to be extremely easy to handle, and since it's compact, if we need to ever pull it out of the hitch to make room for a cargo carrier or something else, we're going to have no problem fitting it into the back of our trunk.The rack is going to hold our bike down in three spots. more

Today on this 2012 Toyota Camry we're going to review and install the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness with a four pole flat trailer connector. This is what our wire harness looks like when installed in a vehicle. Now you can see, we don't have it mounted to anything because when we're not using it, it's going to stay inside our trunk of our car. It can simply ride inside here and be protected from the elements when not in use. This is great for situations where you tow your trailer, or have it set where it lights in the back very few times of the year. And when you are ready to use it, and you keep it on the inside of vehicle, just pull out what you need to go down to your trailer's connector and you can simply close the hatch. more

So if you have allergies, it's a good idea to regularly change this out. Now with most vehicles, the filter is going to be behind or under your glove box. more

It combines the strength of the round or square bars with the aerodynamics of your aero bars. While it is aerodynamic, it is going to cut down wind noise or drag. However, you cannot use T-track accessories with these bars. more

Over here we're going to have the Curt wiring kit, and it's going to provide us a 4-pole flat trailer connector, and then over here we're going to have the Tekonsha wiring kit, and it's also going to provide us the 4-pole flat trailer connector.The differences between our two wiring kits is going to be very small. The major difference is going to be the power converter. They're both going to use one, but in our experiences, the Tekonsha has had a better track record for durability. Now part of that is is because if we look at the end of the converter box here, we can see this epoxy look type material, and that's going to be a potting material, and the entire converter box and all the circuits inside are going to be filled with that which is going to make it resist any kind of vibration or anything else as well as any weather and moisture from getting inside.Opposed to the Curt where the wires are just going to go straight into the converter box, and if you kind of pull on the wire, you can see that you can almost look into the converter box itself, which opens up areas for moisture or anything to get inside.With that being said, both of our wiring kits are designed to stay on the inside of the vehicle. We're going to have T-connectors that we're going to plug in behind our tail lights that we're going to get our signals from. more
