Hello everybody. This is Jeff at ETrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the Pop and Lock custom tailgate lock with the handle and the power lock. And this one's in the pyrite mica color. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2005 to 2015 Toyota Tacoma trucks that have the pyrite mica color finish.

Now this will replace your existing factory tailgate handle, with this Pop and Lock handle, that includes a power tailgate handle and a manual bolt lock that codes to your ignition key to protect your tailgate and your cargo. The powered lock itself will wire into your existing factory power door locks so that when you lock your truck, you can also lock your tailgate.You won't have to carry any extra keys. The manual lock right here, this can be used to unlock your tailgate in case your vehicle's battery fails. And I did want to zoom in here and show you the power tailgate lock and manual key blocking handle helps prevent theft of your cargo and your tailgate, creates secure storage for your valuables when it's used with a tonneau cover or a camper shell.
Now the manual lock cylinder right here uses the bolt codeable technology so that it can be keyed to match your OEM truck key. Basically, what that does is it allows you to insert your truck's OEM key in there, and it'll match it up to work with your OEM key.It is made of a corrosion resistant stainless steel. And as we mentioned, it's customized to fit your vehicle and integrate into your OEM tailgate handle opening. Now one note I do want to mention it is these bolt locks will permanently code to only one vehicle. They cannot be recoded or re-keyed.
Also, if you notice right over here, it's got a space to use the factory backup camera. And as we've mentioned, it is a pyrite mica color, which will match your vehicle's factory paint.Now this does install very easily. It'll wire into your power lock system using the quick splice connectors. No drilling or welding is necessary. All the wiring, the splices, the hardware, some cable ties, are all included to install it.
Even a nice set of detailed instructions. Now, also if your vehicle does not have power locks and you want to use this, there is a switch kit available for trucks without existing power locks.
