Today we are going to be taking a look at the Ford F350 trailer hitch receiver cover. This hitch cover is designed for 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. The hitch cover is going to add a clean finished look to your hitch and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. This is an officially licensed hitch cover. It's going to feature the blue Ford Logo and it's going to have the F-350 in black, so it's going to add a lot of style to the vehicle. The face plate is made of chrome plate solid brass. The emblem's are rotary engraved, then epoxy filled for ultimate color protection.
The face plate is going to be assembled onto a stainless steel base. That will be highly resistant towards rust and corrosion, so it's going to last a long time. It's also going to come with foam gaskets. That's really going to help reduce rattling between the hitch cover and the hitch. It's going to come with three different sizes so you can use however many you may need for your particular application.
It's also going to feature a locking bolt set, that's going to secure the cover to the hitch. The pinholes on the unit are going to measure 5/8ths of an inch in diameter. You can see there are two pinholes on here. You can just choose whichever one works best for your application. Few measurements to go over with you real quick, Then we will show you how it installs to the hitch. The face plate is going to give us an overall length measurement of about 5-7/8ths of an inch with an overall height measurement of 3-1/4.
The distance we have from the back of that face plate to the center of each pin hole, measuring to that first one is 1-15/16ths of an inch, to that second one that's going to be 2-15/16ths of an inch. Those pin holes are separated apart from each other center on center by 1 inch. It's a very simple installation process, all you have to do is slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch. Before we do that I just want to go ahead and install one of the foam gaskets. Again, these are designed to help reduce rattling between the hitch cover and the hitch. Simply slides over the shank, just like that.
Then all you have to do is slide it into the receiver tube, until your pin holes line up. On this particular application we can actually fit one more foam gasket in there. When you are ready to install it and get it secured, these two pieces thread apart from one another, and you just slide it through the pin hole. Thread the two units back together and go ahead and get it hand tight. Then you can finish the securing process using the included tools. Get it nice and tight. It does have a tamper 00:02:38 resistant design, so that way it will be secured to the hitch. And that's all there is to it. That's going to do it for today's look at trailer hitch receiver cover.
