Question:

Looking at the Draw-Tite Class II - trailer hitch Item # 36588, for 2017 Toyota RAV4 XLE. I notice that the parts photo shows 5 bolts and washers, but the hitch appears to have 6 holes. ??

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 36588 for 1-1/4" or part # 75235 for 2" only installs with five bolts as you mentioned. There are indeed six bolt holes on the actual hitch but only five pre-drilled holes in the frame so that is all that is needed. I have attached a photo that shows this for you.
