Can the Thule STL2 be Used as an Anti-Rattle Device for Hitch Extender HES6

Question:
Could this be used as an anti-rattle locking pin to lock and anti-rattle the extender HES6 to my hitch receiver?

The Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device, # STL2, is designed to work with Thule bike racks specifically. This lock can be used to lock a Thule rack to the extender, but not the extender to the hitch, so it will not work.
The Roadmaster Quiet Hitch, # RM-061 can be used on the connection between the hitch extender and the hitch receiver itself. Keep in mind that using a hitch extender will DECREASE the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50 percent.
