I'm not sure which LED lamps you were considering, but a 4-pole or pin flat trailer connector doesn't carry a reverse light circuit. You'd need to tap directly into the wiring harness that feeds the vehicle taillights. If you access the area directly behind the taillights, you should easily be able to locate the wire feeding the reverse lamp. Tap the power feed for your LED reverse lights into that circuit.
If your Tacoma has the factory 7-way connector, the center pin is connected to the reverse light circuit. You can tap into the wiring feeding that pin to power your LED reverse lights.
