The correct hitch you would want for your 2005 Ford Mustang would be the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C113127 which is a confirmed fit as long as your Mustang is a V6. The part # 24863 is for the newer body style so it wouldn't work for you.
If you are looking for a bike rack to install in this hitch, I would recommend the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack part # S64670. This is a highly reviewed bike by our customers that would work very well for you. I attached a review video for this rack as well.
