Can this tester test the interior dome light on a tandem axle trailer? The dome light runs though the 12 volt. We dont see an option on the display for that.

The Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Tester # 8010 that you referenced is intended for connection to a trailer's RV-style 7-way blade connector plug. The tester's socket mimics a typical vehicle 7-way.
This unit tests the exterior trailer lighting circuits.
You should instead take a look at the tester # PTW2993. This hand-held probe tester lights up when it detects a signal, as demonstrated in the linked video.
