Wiring Trailer Brake Magnets and How to Ground Wiring on Trailer Properly

Question:
How are the two wires that come from the brake magnets attached? Does oneeither one go to the blue wire brake controler and the other to the frame as a ground? Also if the ground wire from the tow vehicle is attached to the trailer frame does the trailer need to be connected for all the electrical,including the brakes, to work Thanks in advance for your help

Yes, one brake magnet wire is connected to the blue electric brake wire, and the other is grounded to the trailer frame. It does not matter which of the two wires is used for either function.
The trailer plug will need to be grounded to the trailer frame, and the lights and brake magnets will also need to be grounded to the trailer frame in order to function properly. The ground from your tow vehicle wiring should be grounded on a clean piece of metal on the vehicle frame.
