Installing Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch in 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 With Short Bed
Question:
I just had the above described hitch installed in my new 2015 Chevy 2500 HD, short box pickup. This truck is identical to my 2008 that I traded in. first trip out with our trailer, in a sharp turn it took out my back glass. This sharp turninch is the same turn that has been made to park the same trailer for more than 6 years, in the same spot. Can you tell me where the ball should be located in the bed of the truck as it looks several inches farther forward than my 2008. Thank you.

I spoke with my contact at Draw-Tite about your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD with a short bed. The Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, part # 9465-56, is designed to fit your truck.
They told me that the distance from the rear of the bed of a short bed truck to the center of the ball hole is 44-7/8 inches. This is a no-drill installation which means it is to use the existing holes in the frame of your truck for installation, so it should have been located when installed.
On a longer bed, that distance is 45-3/8 inches.
