Wire Functions for Hopkins Plug-in Simple Brake Wiring Adapter # HM47715

Question:
I bought a brake controller wire harness for my F-150 2005. I need to know what wire does what. I had to cut the part and soder an end in to the brake controller. What wire does what. Please explain since you did not provide that info with the harness.

For the Hopkins Plug-in Simple Brake Wiring Adapter # HM47715:
The Black wire is power.
The Red wire is the stop light switch.
The White wire is the ground.
The Blue wire is the brake feed to the trailer.
Some brake controllers have different colors for the wire functions. If the wiring on your brake controller is different let me know the brand and model it is and I will try to find the instructions for you.
I ahve also linked a video that shows a brake controller being installed on a 2004 F-150.
