Honda Odyssey Custom Built Class III Round Tube Trailer Hitch Bolt Sizes

Question:
I am installing hitch 75270. I have read that the bolts supplied do not have the same pitch as welded nuts on the honda odyssey. Is this true? Do I need to go purchase different bolts for a product meant to custom fit ? I have been told the bolt needed is M12x1.5x35mm and Draw-tight 75270 ships with M12x1.25x35mm Please help me out before I attempt the install and break nuts and bolts!

The custom fit receivers we offer do come with the appropriately sized/pitched bolts. If anything we get phone calls where the 1.25 bolts seem too big. If you have any issues trying to get the bolts into the existing weld nuts on the van we recommend cleaning the holes with a lubricant (like WD40 or PartsBlaster) and a wire brush to eliminate any dirt or debris in the threads. Sometime when doing this installation for local customers we thread the bolt up as far as it will go, remove it, spray again and thread the bolt up as far as it will go again. We do this process multiple times until the bolt goes all the way into position. Sometimes if the existing weld nuts are really corroded we will use a tap to clean out the threads.
