In order to hook up your fifth wheel trailer, you will want to start with the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # 165616, locked in the tow position.
When it comes time to make tight turns or when maneuvering your trailer into a camp site and need that extra turning radius, you will need to pull on the slider handle and turn to unlock the hitch. Now you can pull your tow vehicle forward which will slide and lock the hitch into the maneuvering position.
In order to return the hitch to the tow position, you will need to repeat the step of pulling on the slider handle and turning to unlock, chock your trailer tires, manually apply the brakes on the trailer with the brake controller, and then back up the tow vehicle until the hitch locks into the tow position.
