Question:
The eTrailer descriptions for Pollak PK12907 and Pk12707 vehicle side connectors specify the wire gauge supported by the connector e.g., 8, 12, 14 gauge wires. What gauge for each of the functional wires is supported with the HM48480 connector? Thanks.

Expert Reply:
There really isn't a set maximum gauge wire that could be used on the Hopkins Connector part # HM48480. Most people will use 10 gauge wire as the max gauge for the brake output, 12 volt accessory, and ground wires. So you could easily use that gauge or slightly smaller or bigger without a problem.
