Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2013 Honda Pilot with Tow Package

Question:
I bought a used 2013 Honda Pilot EX-L. It came with the factory towing package so I had assumed I was good to go if I just bought a hitch. But turns out it needs a trailer harness. Is your part 118265 a good substitute for Hondas 08L91-SZA-100A which Honda wants to sell for $220 and which seems somewhat complicated to install? Any difference in the capability/functionality of 118265 vs. the OEM part? Just trying to understand any trade-offs. Thanks.

From a functionality stand point the OEM wiring harness and the Tow Ready Wiring Harness part # 118265 will both do the exact same thing. We have never installed an OEM harness so I am not sure how difficult it would be to install, or if it would be any different than installing the part # 118265.
This harness would be exactly what you would need, and since it costs much less than the OEM harness I would strongly recommend it for you.
