Question:
Can I buy just the lock assembly with new keys. For my aero xl sport rack. Its mounted with 2 rivets which I gave already taken off. I can reattach the latch with new rivots

On the Thule and SportRack boxes that have locks fastened in with rivets, there aren't any replacement locks available. The locks held in with rivets aren't meant to be replaced.
Your best bet would be to take the lock to a locksmith, who should be able to remove the broken portion of the key. One the key is removed, we can get you a replacement if you need one. The lock should have the key number stamped right next to the slot where the key is inserted. The replacement keys would be ordered by using the part # THKEYN followed by the three or four digit code number of the lock. For instance, if your lock has the number 2862, you' order replacement key THKEYN2862.
