How To Wire a Trailer Harness on a 2000 Mitsubishi Montero

Question:
Im trying to hook a boat trailer to my 2000 mitsubishi montero sport, is the 2003 mitsubishi montero sport video wiring harness installation the same for my 2000, i only have to tail lights, and 2 -4clearance light, which product can i use, i looked at the HM48925, is this correct. 2 questions thanks

Installation for a 2000 and a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero should be about the same. Part # HM48925 will work, but part # 119178 is circuit protected and will protect your vehicle electrical system. You could also use part # 119178KIT which will have all the connectors needed to splice into wires and a circuit tester to make sure you have the right wires.
If your vehicle has aftermarket LED tail lights, you must use part # HM48925. Use the video for the 2003 Montero as a guide. The installation should be almost identical even though you have the 2000 model.
