Question:

I saw that this is the hitch listed to fit the Lincoln MKC, but need to know if the foot activated hatch release will need to be deactivated?

Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75943 is a great choice for your 2015 Lincoln MKC. This hitch has been confirmed as a fit for your vehicle and only the hitch opening will be visible since the cross tube will be behind the rear fascia. All of the hitches available will be just like this with only the hitch opening visible.

The foot activation of your rear lift gate would still work, but you would need to go to either side of the hitch opening so that the sensor will pick up the movement.

If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
