This helps open up the soil so air, water, and nutrients can better reach the root zone, making it a handy setup for lawns, food plots, and other planted areas. The included manual implement lift mounts into a 2" receiver hitch, so you get both the lift and plugger/aerator in one kit.

The manual lift lets you lower the aerator into its working position and raise it when you reach the end of a pass or need to transport it across the property. Soil moisture plays a big role in how effectively a plug-style aerator penetrates the ground, so slightly moist soil will give you much better results than dry, rock-hard ground.
