Question:

Looking to buy the brake controller HM47294. I have a 2012 GMC Acadia. What would be the correct connector cable?

For a 2012 GMC Acadia that came with a factory 7-Way trailer connector, you will need harness # HM47875 to install the Hopkins Agility brake controller # HM47294. I have linked a video showing an installation on a different vehicle that uses the same harness.

The factory connection point is located under the dashboard to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency-brake pedal.
