Trailer Coupler Latch Repair Kit for Valley/Shelby # 5133 Coupler

Question:

I have a Valley 5133 coupler for a 2inch ball on a 2inch channel. The latching system needs replacement. Which of your kits will fit? Thanks for your help.

Valley is no longer in business, but luckily Shelby manuactured their couplers for them. According to Shelby, either the # CP02-050 or the # CP02-060 would be correct Latch Repair Kit. Look at the coupler, and find the capacity, which should be stamped into the metal. If the capacity is 3500 lbs, use the # CP02-050. If the capacity is 5000 lbs, use the # CP02-060.
