Question:

I purchased the stove, but now I need a hose AND the right fittings to go from the compression port on the stove to the quick connect on my Winnebago Travato. Do you sell a hose with all of the right fittings to complete this connection?

Hey, Bob. This is a great question.

If you have the Cadac 2 Cook 3 Pro Deluxe Camping Stove part # FR96EJ, you’ll need a couple of pieces to connect it to your Winnebago Travato quick connect.

First, you’ll need a 1/4" quick-release adapter that comes with your grill, along with the Quick Disconnect Propane Hose # 37207-31235. That combination will allow you to connect your stove to the Travato’s quick connect port.

The stove you have doesn't have a built in regulator like most grills do, this is a major plus because you don't need any additional parts aside from the hose I mentioned above.

Have you been out camping with the grill yet?

I managed to finally find a hardware store with a hose and some fittings that we cobbled together - 9' hose with 3/8" female flare fitting on one end and a 1/4" male pipe thread on the other end; added female 1/4" FIP to marry that to my 1/4" male pipe thread quick connect fitting - to make a connection to the 1/4' female quick connect port on my van. To date we have only verified that the connection delivers fuel to the stove and then used it to season the grille and grill cooking surfaces, but it assembles, and lights as it should. The cooking part will probably be more user dependent, but the initial signs look good. My ideal setup would be to have an elbow with a flare fitting to connect to the stove on one end and a pipe fitting to connect to a quick connect on the other, then a hose with the quick connect fitting on either end. That way I would only have to unhook the quick disconnects on either end of thew hose to put the unit away instead of having to unscrew the compressing fitting on the stove every time. I'm a bit nervous about that since the port on the stove is threaded plastic and I'm not sure how long that is going to hold up. I had thought that there would be some sort of standardization/default fittings to go between RV's and such stoves, but that did not appear to be the case.

@Bob A lot of brands will make unique fittings on the grill side so that you have to use their parts. Most don't have an easy to remove regulator like yours so a lot of people will have to get a t-fitting like part # 103606. This connects directly to the propane tanks before the regulator so that you're not passing the propane through two regulators. Doing that would cause little to no flame on any stove or grill.

@GwendolynY Well, the reason why I purchased this stove is because it isn't supposed to have a regulator built in, thus it is supposed to be usable directly from the external quick connect on my RV, as per the previous response on this site from 'Robin H'. If that is not correct then I need to see about a full refund and that previous response that said that it doesn't have a built-in regulator needs to be corrected. I'm not sure what to believe now.

@Bob Per my original answer, the stove you got doesn't have a built in regulator. It does come with one but it's one that is attached to the connection on the side of the grill so if you need to use it, you can. I do see the answer Robin posted and it also states that there isn't a built in regulator. I'm not sure where we say that it has one built in?
