Adding Digital Wall Thermostat To Pre-2025 Advent 13.5K BTU AC Unit

Question:
Hello I have a 13,500 advent rv ac unit with the analog knobs on the unit itself it’s like a 3 year old unit I believe I am wanting to put a digital wall thermostat on it I see the acrg15 kit does this kit come with control box for inside the ac unit and the freeze sensor plus the thermostat and inside roof panel? I just wanna make sure I’m buying a kit with everything I need to convert this from the knobs to this remote style digital wall thermostat. Thank you for any help with this situation if I need to pull the face plate to see model I can just let know or if you can respond to which units that acrg15 fit that would be great. Hey Herb, thanks for reaching out. I do have a solution for you, but the ACRG15 kit you mentioned is an older part that has been discontinued. It would technically work for what you are trying to do, but unless you can find one secondhand, we will need to go in a different direction.
The ACRG15 was replaced with part # ADV98SR, but this only works with R32 AC units made after 2025, so it would not be backwards compatible with your 3-year old unit. The only way to use this would be to replace the rooftop AC as well. We do have that as a complete AC package part # ADV95SR which comes with a 13.5K BTU AC unit, distribution box and digital wall thermostat - everything you need. This is really going to be the best way to add a wall thermostat since the current system isn't set up for that.
